I saw this on another forum and thought it would be cool to share with each other what we believe.
I was brought up mormon, and I do believe in God and Jesus, but try not to get my life to concerned in that or any one subject. I believe they have a reason for doing what they do, and whatever happens, happens. I also believe that people will have their own beliefs and outlooks on life, and that is perfectly acceptable. I also believe that Psionics, and psychic abilities is a god given gift to us humans, as many other things are. Some of us choose to acknowledge our gifts and others don't. Maybe it is because they are not ready. I believe that with the god given gifts he's given to us, we have to find out what they are. Weather you believe in Psionics, or peganism, or wicca, it is all a gift from him, and you have to choose a path that makes the most sense to you. And that path is one you are meant to walk no matter who says what, and what ever happens. I also do believe in Karma.
I'm gonna say that I believe in supporting others beliefs, I don't know, nor can I say that any 1 person is wrong in what they believe. Post what you believe, and see how much you learn from your fellow Psionics that you probably would have never learned otherwise.

Since you'll bite my head off for not replying, since I was already ignoring you for my cookies, I'll reply here.
What I believe is rather....complciated to the say the least and yet it's simple in a way. It's all really hard to explain.
I practice what I believe in, by making it my life.
I believe in the everlasting now. There is only the present and nothing more. I believe in what decisions you make now will effect the everlasting tomorrow. I believe in higher up beings. Gods, Councils, etc. I believe in life after death. As to what it is for people, I think it may depend on what you believe. I believe in Karama and Dharma (sp?). Like the Force, energy is in everything and everyone. It's inside and all around you, I, and everyone around us. I believe that there are many other universal truths and no other spiritual path that someone chooses is wrong or right. It just is. It is a path to englightenment. Each path is not suited entirely for another person, so each person and each path deserves respect. But each path can help each other out. I believe in that everyone is connected (partly due to the energy all around everyone). I believe in the Light, my Source, my strength, my life. I serve the Light above all else. The Light can be taken as a number of things....but it's really hard to explain it. Above all servitude to any God(dess) or Council, I serve the Light. Currently my patron Goddess is Athena and I serve a Council. I do not entirely believe in fate. I understand some things are meant to happen, but what happens, can also be dictated by choice. I believe that every second we are changing. It's a Taoist belief. I am a great big believer in following your heart and your intutition, rarely does it ever lead you wrong. I believe in following your bliss. I believe in making of your life what you will.
I am sure I haven't covered everything I believe, but that's generally what I believe. I try to be as down to earth as possible. Whatever I experience, I try to look at through different eyes and anaylze.
I am cross between being agnostic and a pagan. But really, there is no name for my spiritual path and take on life. It's what I feel personally is right. My path certainly isn't right for everyone, but your path isn't good for me. But I respect that. I respect your beliefs, whether or not I believe in them or follow them. I certainly do not know everything either. Maybe this is all a lie and there is no life after death. Or maybe I am wrong and the Christian religion is really right. All I have is these experiences that I believe in. And my heart as well.

I agree with both of you. I have been raised as a Christian, but I have always had a desire to aquire more knowledge. So I research other religons as a hobby, and I find that I always like something about them. I am also a hater of war or any sort of fighting, and as religon is one of the major reasons war has started, I always searched for a way to combine religons since I too have believed that no one is right or wrong. So I have found through my research that if you take the god/s or godesses and the traditions out of the picture, all that is left is the moral beliefs of the system that is established by all of those traditions and the god/s or goddesses. Those moral beliefs have always been the same. So I guess you can say that I believe in all of the religons, but with God and Jesus from Christianity. I hope no one gets mad at me for this statement, but I also believe that God is the same God in Islamic belief, and I believe it is also possible that to some God can appear to be more than one deity. Basically he shows himself to everyone in different ways. So that is what I believe, and I am still doing research and probably will until the day I die.

Don't worry, I do not hate you for that way. People are the cause of the war, hate, injustices, etc. Religion can be a cause as well, but when there is true understand and compassion within a person of faith, religion is not what this person has, it is faith. It is when this person becomes arrogant and believes that their path is better than another's is what causes problem. The Germans thought the Jews were unworthy. The Christians thought the Islams were unworthy of Jeruslem. I do not like war, I believe it as the ultimate last resort. But when fighting is needed, it is needed. It is what is truly nesscary, I guess.
Get what I mean? I'm sure I haven't covered everything again, but it gives a general gist of what I am trying to say.

Indeed. It's ironic that people make war for the name of peace.

I am saying it's an excuse. They excuse their war away with peace. You misunderstood.

well, check this out. what i have found out is that apparently the bible is for the most part the egyptian book of the dead with some added materials. i read this in an african philosiphy book , which just so happens to explain it for the most part *can't remember everything?* and I'm sure you all know that the egyptians were here 5000 b.c. while the bible was created what, about 2000 years ago maybe so that leaves what about 5000 yrs. of time to reference, copy/paste, and edit it to the liking of which will make the most money *catholics* *cough* that that i have anything against anybody in any religion. and i'm not saying jesus was made up, they probably just added him in the bible because of his popularity or he could of been a rumor all-together (who knows) i can't say for sure, but this is what i'm presenting.

You actually believe that? I'm not sure...sounds a little bit far fetched. And I'm not saying that the bible isn't. There are some parts in the bible that I find contradictory (can't say which). Can you give me a link of that? I'd like to read it.

PSi is just using energy in a different way then you do usually in daily life. you use energy to walk, think, play, run around, soccer, hockey football, etc. youre just training you're brain to use energy to make a psiball or such, all it is is energy that you gain from eating, and sleeping, nothing demonic about it, or magik about it. its just something that humans can do but takes alot longer to master than such skills like hockey.
