sad spirit in my home

I have had several experiences since I moved into my place 6 to suggest that there is a spirit residing there. Most of them are hearing a girl giggle, hearing a light cough, or hearing a sigh from over my shoulder. Sounds that could not have come from outside of my apartment or from the street because I heard them way too clearly. I am a musician with really audio sensitive ears, and I am just about dead certain these sounds are coming from right behind me.

I had one experience where I closed all my cabinets (which I had thought I left open) left to the bar with a couple buddys, took them home (I was the DD) and when I returned home to hit up my six pack all of those d@mn cabinets were openned again... all of them... scared me so much that I wouldn't drink that night.

A couple of times I have had foreign feelings and thoughts while trying to meditate in my home. I have been unable to center at home which is severly affecting my music writing and I would really feel so much better if I could find a way to live harmoniously with this spirit or to put the spirit to rest.

Anyways, I am really interested in communicating with this spirit somehow. Any suggestions?

Put a tape recorder where there is the most activity. some people pick up sounds/voices. also, if it's friendly, try to make it feel at home. but...he could be evil, why'never know. Very interesting....I like stuff like this.
oh, is this the same apartment you were talking about in the meditation section? like I said there, call someone if you want to get rid of it.

yeah, the tape recorder is a really good one, watch that show on discovery "a haunting to get ideas" you can even ask questions, and when you play it back, you hear answers

try dowsing. get a big piece of paper, and write the alphabet on it and the numbers 0 to 9, and "YES" and "NO"
then in the center of actvity, hold a pendulum over the paper and begin asking questions

I had a dream last night that I was talking to a middle aged woman in my apartment... It was strange because everything had the same tint as my hardwood floor and I could hear the humming of my computer in the other room. After I said, "Can I help you" she put her head down and sobbed slightly.

I woke up and my room was a few degrees colder then any other room in my apartment (and I had shut the AC off over night like usual, i checked)

I will update when I find a way to communicate consiously

Believe me when I tell you this, don't try the tape recorder. Sometimes you hear what you might not of wanted to hear. And whos to say its from that spirit. Spirits anger when tryed to be discovered, when they are in hiding.

hmmm, heres a few possibilites about your ghost's sadness (from watching "a haunting"):

one time, this woman was killed in here house a buried in it and was never found. and she was being abused by an angry male ghost. he even attacked the people that were trying to talk to them.
anyways, the girl helped the people and throug dowsing, showed them where her body was. they never got to dig it up, cause the owner wasnt too comfortable about all this.
