the vendors used to sell them at the primary school i used to attend.
i used to buy them and eat them (less for the fortunes)
but i noticed hat my friends would buy them just for the fortunes (much to my delight, as i would get the cookie)
iv also noticed that on TV and in comics, when they get the cookies, they just read the fortune and crush up the cookie.
but why, why dont they eta the cookie?

Because, usually, the fortune somehow ties in to the plot of the story and gives the character who reads it some great insight or breakthrough as to what is going to happen next. Therefore, after they read the forune and go "Oh, my God! It's so obvious!" they are no longer thinking about the poor, abandoned cookie that was left on the table as they storm out of the place to go fullfill their destiny. Thus, the cookie is the victim here.
*slaps forehead* I can't believe I just analyzed a cookie. I'm going to bed...

GEO, dont worry, I personally think the cookies are really tasty lol. They're really... crunchy and nice and sweet and etc.... I never take the fortunes seriously, especially when they say stuff like...well, random stuff =P

You know, I think I might've gotten one that said something like that. Plus, did you know that the fortune cookie is an American invention?
