I'm new to the world of psi, etc. but I'm now aware of something that I had always brushed off in the past.
I've always had dreams of future events, but when I wake up I'm not aware of them, up until the moment of the event. The dreams would be things that take place in one minute to about 5 years, and the experience lasting from 5 seconds to 5 minutes. I had always dismissed these events as deja vu up until recently.
I want to learn how to better understand and control my precognition, as I have a feeling that I have great untapped potential.

Generic answer: Meditate, and wait. Give it time. Might take some years, but keep at it; exploring your own consciousness will unlock doors and expand limitations.
My answer: Congrats on awakening to yourself. Pay attention to details when the event finally happens. What do you remember? Start writing down your dreams, every little bit you can. Oh, and meditate and give it time.

Ive been meditating before I sleep for the past few nights (it's been sorta hard with this cold that I have) and I've also been meditating in my dreams, but I haven't had any of my precog dreams. I'm going to keep it up and remain hopeful.

precog dreams come and go as they please. There is no way to control them or make yourself have them as far as I know.

There may be no way to control them. I have been having them for years myself. No, I can't remember them all. Sometimes I wonder if it is better that way, you know?

I just recognized my dreams as precognitions too, like a month ago, so It's really odd right? Like to know what's about to happen? The first precog I can remember was when I was 15, since then they have been rising and rising in number, I thought they were deja vuhs, until I had a precog when I was awake.
Sorry, I don't know how to make them come faster, for me they just keep coming more and more recently. So maybe you should do some of the excercises on the article section.

Precog dreams are uncontrollable insofar as I know, even 'masters' cannot purposely induce a dream, rather, they 'allow' it to happen instead of directing it. Trancing might be more effective at that than meditation, just because trancing reduces the conscious level of thought to a greater degree, but I personally don't because I don't like trances =)
