Destiny

Ok, so this is what happened Saturday when I was returning home:

I was driving back when I saw a Golf driving close to me, in that moment I knew that car would crash me, and so I drove for a couple of minutes and the Golf was still near behind me, so I slowed down to give him chance to advance me, but in a bump I slowed down and that guy almost hit me, I drove to the next bump at 10mph so that he wouldn't crash, but he crashed anyway. I knew he would crash me since I saw the car but I was trying to prevent it, I couldn't.

today I had to take the car to the shop and I met the most wonderful girl ever and went for some icecream, she even gave me a ride home because of my car being repaired, so I think that sometimes we can't change the future no matter how hard we try... And if we're lucky bad things will happen for a good reason.

Destiny is what is going to happen regarless. Things happen the way they are supposed to. The reason people have visions is becuase they were meant to. Life is going to happen the way it was meant to regardless of you trying to change it. Heck, you trying to change it is apart of what your meant to do in destiny.

I know that, that's kind of why I entitled that way this post, I love destiny, and when someone says it doesn't exist I say what you just told me, so we have a similar point of view in that matter, its just that most of the times when I'm about to crash I can avoid it thanks to precog, but this one time I couldn't and I was left wondering, but what happened today really explains it all.

You create your own destiny by the decisions you make. I don't believe we are 'meant' to do anything, except live. Sensing the future is just a tool for survival. If you're saying that life happens the way it was meant to then you're also saying that the ability of precognition is useless. From what you said, its useless because we are meant to sense the future, but no matter what, seeing the future means nothing. Precognition on the other hand gives us the capability to know and, if we want, attempt to change what will happen. It isn't impossible to change the future.... its just difficult sometimes. As for precognition, I do not believe that we have the capability to sense future events so that we can change them, as evident by Snowind's post.

I'm not quite sure if that post made sense... I felt as if I was rambling. If there's anything you don't understand, let me know.

Then what would be the point in having the precognition? So you're saying that everything is pre-determined?

I think that destiny as a concept is that life is supposed to happen one way, so you can change the way you live and change the stuff you do but everything you do was already considered (even precog) and the outcome will be the same. So no matter what you do at the end you will catch up with destiny, because according to the definition of destiny everything you do will get you to an end, and that end is destiny, no matter what you do, what we have control about is the way we live and the actions and stuff we do, so we can live however we want because destiny isn't out inability to chose, destiny is what we get for choosing, at least that are my thoughts.

That's what I said... its just that they way you and Nightshare had written your thoughts made it seem as if you were saying the opposite.

Nah, well this is a theme a bit too complicated to touch because everyone has it's own thoughts about it, and everyone has been thaught differently, (It would be a lot easier for me to debate this on spanish because in the terms of debating I'm not that good with english), but well I think I explained it well in the last post.

This is like karma- if you do something nice to others, something nice will come back to you. I personally tried to be karma-weary, but it hasnt worked lol.
And I personally believe in destiny.... like, in the sense how you die, etc. gosh I'm so morbid lol.
