Ad free forum: 7$ a month, can only buy per the month by money order or credit card. I'm not sure how to do money order though. Domain: .info costs $1.99/year plus $0.25 icann fee. I would love to see us have a domain. A .com would be better, but if we can't afford it go with the .info . I think the chatroom is fine, but if you can get another like one that runs without java, which would make it a whole lot laggier to load. I don't know how you would do that, but try searching for "Embed Chatroom into Webpage".
I'll try finding some other stuff, and possibly, buy some stuff if I can. If I can't get any money, then I'm sorry. I think we should at least have everyone donate 1-3 dollars, and then we could have, if the best happens, about 1,000 dollars. We could get everything we wanted, but I don't think we need that much money for it. If we can get about 200-500 dollars I think we'd be set for about 1-4 years.

well i know a little about the transition from a frewebs site to a .com because i was on such a site and discovered several things, the transition doesnt go over well unless all the bugs are fixed...there are always bugs so just be sure they are out before we move. When you move leave a forward link on both the forum and main site. Make sure you get a reliable server, the website i was formally on crashed 4 time in the space of a week and 15% of the people left for a month so they didnt lose all their posts an everything from the crashes.
To you MBSD: that wpuld never happen because about at least 30% probably more of us come here without out parents permission. But the money may be accomplished if we put ads at the top of the forums. the site i was formerly at did this and made on average $20 a month.
i do know a little bit more about stuff like this but i dont know how to put it down here.

Just so that you know, any chatroom that you can use in IE/Firefox/Netscape/ect more or less will be using java. If you want it to run better, go download an irc client to use. Examples are Icechat, MIRC, and many others that you can find here. If you get an irc client, the offical chat room is on the server "irc.ircstorm.net" on port "6667" and the channel is "#psiworld" - that should help people get it set up properly. (edit: Ignore the link for ircstorm, the forum decided it should be there. Not sure if it works or not, and if it does, its still basicly useless.) |

what's wrong with the freewebs site? We get by easily with freewebs. What would be the advantage of moving to a .com?
We really don't need much.

hey guys we would not be getting a new sit, just a new domain. It's just something that is easier to remember. If you want, I can see if I can get a .net.

A .net would most likely be cheaper. Also, if you get mIRC or another client like that, the server for our main chat would be to type in: /server www.freejavachat.comThen, after that, type /join #psiworld or the thing that pops up to join a channel type in #psiworld. |

I still feel that it is a waste of money to buy a domain, when you can get .co.nr for free. www.psiworld.co.nr. That looks nice, and it is just 2 extra characters. |
