All to true. It is the nature of mankind. Have you ever read Plato's Republic? As more and more added was to the "the State" they ended up creating a warrior/guardian class meant for war and they began to plan out who to do the war. There was also a selection on who to be the guardian class, which was like our "elite rich" class.

Who knows, you all may be just random computer programs doing nothing but chatting with interstellar beings on the surface of the planet Earth. Worldwide flooding- may happen, global warming and stuff. Actually hasn't it already begun? Tsunamis, Hurricane Katrina, etc etc?
Talking birds with human faces- I think this is never going to happen. Genetic modifications only happen when there is a need for it to happen.
E.G. Pegnuins have wings, but cannot fly because there was no need to do so in the Antartic.

2012 is quite an interesting subject but i wish we know more about it,i"m sure its planet x causing those disasters,and note,disasters are appearing more now,i read somewhere that that there is a global warming on mars last time didn"t used to have all this,
