ok, i got this tech during my searches. go to sleep for 6 hours, (you might need to adjust your schedule). and the wake you for 1 hour. you need to get out of the bed, go do something, anything that will wake you up and keep you awake. then after the hour is up, go back to sleep. do whatever tech you do to go to sleep, just sleep. then just watch as the dreams come to you. as you get better you don't have to stay up for an hour. just stay up ontill you don't feel sleepy anymore. good luck

I prefer not to ap out of a lucid dream. It seems as though I lose focus a lot when I do.

Well I felt I had a lucid dream last night, I was telling myself I was dreaming, but I felt completely clueless in how to AP out of the lucid dream. In this dream I was in this unknown school, checked my hands they looked wierd.

lucid dreaming is when you are aware you are dreaming.

I've had several experiences with lucid dreaming, myself, though I wouldn't be able to say I could help someone else do it. Astral projection, to me, seems mostly pointless. No offense to anyone. I'm just curious, though, as to what purpose it would serve. I admit, it would be nice if I could do it, but still, I'd like to have a reason to use it. And, to elaborate a bit on JediKaren's comment: lucid dreaming is not only being aware you are dreaming, but also being able to alter your dreams into whatever you want to dream about. It's more along the lines of controlling the dream rather than realizing it is a dream. The realization is only the first step. This is very helpful, outside of the psi-realm, for overcoming nightmares and/or night terrors. Inside the psi-realm ... well, to be honest, I'm not sure what all lucid dreaming is useful towards (other than AP). Like I mentioned in my introduction, I really only do well with empathy/scanning.

I've had plenty lucid dreams. Sometimes I have bad ones, that seems like I can't control, and is very... weirdish. Then, i have good ones, where i can control what i do, and things like that. I'm not good at APing yet, but i am an empath, too.

Well not to get off topic, but when I usually Lucid dream (on accident) I end up fighting stuff like people I dislike, and even thought I know its a dream, since I truely dislike them, I continue fighting for the heck of it.
Al though, in dreams like that I usually CAN'T hit my hardest... =( Like I try to punch the person to a pulp, but for some reason, I go in a type of slow mo hitting. :S
As soon as I get bored of my slow mo fight, I usually try to dream up something cooler, like suddenly changing my dream at will, and possibly be like summoning light sabers and weapons to train by myself inside my dream; with. (Anyone else gotten this experience too?)

Can't say I have had a dream of fighting other people I know, though I have had a rather odd dream before.

I hate that. I was in a dream where I was running track, and couldn't go fast enough to win. Really made me angry.
