I'm having trouble with them in the sense that I can only HAVE nightmares. Any tips on what to do? I'm starting to hate having to go to sleep as I know I simply wait for another nightmare.

ok, my advice, read up on lucid dreaming. Try and learn how to do it. Now, after you have learned how to do it, go into a lucid dream. Then make what scares you appear in your dream. Now you might be thinking, no that's stupid, but trust me. Then, just snap your fingers, or something easy like that, and visualize it just disapearing. Then it will show the message to your brain that it's not that big of a problem, therefore conquering your fear. Or you could always play it the way some people do. immagine the bad thing there, and give it a hug lol.

Or do something fun and overkill like pulling a meteor down into it. I did that in one of my old lucid dreams. Results in VERY flat big scary monsters.

And then my hug will make the bad things feels all warm and fuzzy inside. But on a more serious note, it's so much, for the lack of a better word, a demon attacking me, but it's like something bad happening. Like some I know are related to what's happened, but then it goes to extremes about things that make no sense. Liek I don't remember eveything well, but my body begins to fail and I just go *plop* and die lol It's mostly bad scenarios which awake me and I haven't been able to sleep well for a while.

Nightmares happen because there is something that is bothering you so much that you are probably not fully aware of, or may not want to face or think about. You have nightmares because your mind insists that you at some level are aware of the fear within you. If you wish to stop having nightmares, figure out what is bothering you so much, deal with the problem, and your dreams will stop or turn better.
