You all may have noticed the member count went from 799 to 751 and want to know what happened.
Every so often I go through the member list and look at the lurkers, or people that have never posted. I saw that we have 253 lurkers. So, I looked through that number and found that 48 people had never posted and joined the site in Aug 2006 or later and I deleted their account. Now, they aren't banned and if they want to rejoin they can. I feel that lurkers inflate the actual site member count and I really didn't want that. I probably will do this again in Jan 2008.

Yeah I wish some of the old people come back so we can ask them questions and get ideas from them and maybe they have questions for us and stuff

Sadly, this site is full of people coming and going. Newbies come here and leave because they are no longer a newbie and feel this isn't their place. So as much as I wish I could bring back people, I can't and shouldn't.

Yeesh, some of the forums I've been on clear out the member lists monthly, deleting any accounts that haven't logged on on three months or so. You're not really going to hear any complaints if you only delete the year-old accounts that never posted. XD

well would you all mind if I got rid of people that have posted once, that joined a year ago or later and haven't view the site since June?

Not at all. If they're just fluffing the memeber count and not actually contributing, then "see ya". If they have a change of heart, then they could always make another account.

you mean "lost too many members"
grammar, really. It's not that hard.

JK lost is past tense. If Kain is trying to suggest it is still happening then the correct spelling would be "lose" (although loose is a word, for example you can loose an arrow (fire it) in archery).
Prehaps also Kain could qualify what "too much members" is. I mean really, theres a high turn over... so what!? There is no prize for a high member count (not forgetting that the member count on most forums is fake anyway).

Yeah, I'm thinking at least some of those accounts were current members making duplicate accounts to bump the member count in the first place. ^_^
