Should psychics/psions/whatever accept pay for using their abilities to help people?

I think not. If I could tell the future, I would help my closest friends and things, but I would not want payment for it. Anyway, people who want money are usually fake. We have the ability. Everyone has the ability. We should do it for someone else if they want us to, but unless we don't want to do it.

yeah I think we should get paid for like doing shows and stuff but to help my friends there would be no charge

Mostly I think this is true. I also hear that being a paid psychic is not a very profitable business. Some one said they charged like 70 dollars for one reading, or hour (can't remember). I also hear that you get people that will heckle you about being fake even though you could be the real deal. Unfortunately it's also hard to kick some out for something like that cause they could sue if you don't do it right.

Psychics and psions tend to have a bad reputation at times when the topic of money is introduced. Alot of these psychics on tv and in the general public eye who do these things for money are fakes, or con artists, who prey on desperate people in need of answers. If you really want to help, do so for the sake of helping someone, not because you expect to be paid for your services.

I do not see what would be wrong with getting paid for helping people. There is nothing wrong with paying doctors or psychiatrist. artist get paid. private investigators get paid. What is the difference? They are all just gifts that the person has practiced and work hard at.

First off, what is it that a psion does to get paid? A psychic, I understand uses his/her ability to sense people's energy or aura or do a reading for them.

Correct me if I'm wrong...I thought that a psion only practises uses constructs and manipulation of energy for casual use.

Anyways, I believe that one should charge a nominal fee for services rendered as that would help keep people from acting as beggars, so to speak. As in if one does things for free, then people will keep going to them even for the most simplest of doubts or queries. But if the service is for a family relation or friend, then it is okay to provide your service for free.

Well, I dont see the harm in asking for payment long as it's not like 700 dollars like *cough* silvia browne*cough*.Id say even the renowned psychics shouldb't charge 200. Maybe like 75 an hour at the max.I don't charge on my site because I don't care, but sometimes people take it to an extreme.

Well no, that's some of the basics a psion is someone who practices the use of psychic energy, what does a psychic do, tap into psychic energy to recieve precogs. or use telepathy to communicate with spirits, also called mental mediumship.A psychic is someone who has intuitive ability, there are many ways to use or express the intuition of a person/psychic,we do the most used ones, us psions.
