*Gasp!* Who'd have thought? Well, its midnight and I got home from work a little while ago, and started feeling sort of out of touch with the world, and started writing. I wrote three poems, so I thought I might post them and see if anyone thought they were decent. Odds are I'll probably look rather foolish, and kick myself for it tomorrow, but hey. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [you]Wish[/you]
Beneath the shadows of a starry sky, To wish, to hope, to yearn, A heart pleads to silent winds.
Fighting for love, for honor, for truth, A soul strayed from its path, Torn from its dreams.
A faithful wish, Made from the heart, And cast to the heavens above.
To love, to hope, to believe.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[you]Shadow[/you]
Darkness fills the mind, As the time comes to an end, Of a life, long lived, long loved.
Grief lays heavy upon the air, Priests speak the final prayer, Of a life, long lived, long loved.
Joy lives on, as far, far away There come the cries Of a life, not yet lived, and dearly loved.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[you]Perfection[/you]
Day by day, we strive, To achieve an impossible task, To reach truest perfection.
Day by day, we strive, To serve, to protect, To reach truest perfection.
Day by day, we strive, To erase our faults, to hide our flaws To reach truest perfection.
