Purpose - To observe the effects (if any) a psi ball has on magnetic energy, and to use these qualitative observations to try and figure out why these effects occur.
Materials - Some willing Psions capable of making a psi ball. All psions will need to have the following: A working compass, magnet, a pencil or pen, and paper for recording observations.
Procedure -
*Note* - When doing the experiment, make sure that the compass and the magnet, except for step 1, stay far away from each other, preferably in separate rooms. Also, be sure to read through the procedure at least once before performing the experiment.
1. Verify that your compass works. Use a magnet to affect the compass, and then take the magnet away and see if the compass works. If your compass is fully functional, continue to the next step.
2. Find a quiet place to sit free of distractions. Be sure to sit near a table.
3. Place a compass directly in front of you on the table. Find which way is north, and orient yourself so the north point of the compass is facing the same way as your face. (So you will be looking directly north.)
4. Use any method you wish to create a psi ball. (Not a construct, or any variation of a psi ball I.E. making it cold or warm - just a normal psi ball.)
5. Add energy/try to strengthen your psi ball or just keep it constant.
6. Try and keep your psi ball for at least 1 minute, and observe any effects it may have on the compass.
7. After your psi ball dissipates, record any observations on the paper.
8. Rest for a couple minutes to allow yourself to regain
energy, then replace the compass with a magnet.
9. Repeat steps 4 - 7, only this time with the magnet instead of the compass.
10. Fill out the following questionnaire:
A. How long have you been doing psionics?
B. Do you have any other abilities other than the ability to create a psi ball?
C. Describe the feeling of a normal psi ball.
D. Did the psi ball feel any differently than normally when close to the compass of magnet.
E. Is there anything else you would like to add?
11. Type up the observations you recorded, and post them along with the questionnaire.
