I did a little blog about this on my site. I'll just post it real quick, too lazy to type it out.
There are many ways for people to learn. In all sites we have been to it has been about the same. Some use the forum and the people who connect to it as a community based environment where the group teaches itself. There's self study. Finally there is study through teaching, whether it be being taught or doing actual teaching. But what about Pod communities of 3 - 5 people? If they were given the ability to choose a name to go by and a "genre" that they would subscribe to, I think a lot could be accomplished. Think about the possiblities here. Not only could people find a place where they can open up and really got to talk to other people, but if any findings or ideas they get could be gathered, then others would also be able to benefit from their experiences. If the one person then wanted to, they might be able to combine all of the information and create an actual handbook. A handbook on psi with methods that would be considered standard could get whole sites to then be able to work together. Then everyone would be able to do benifit as any new discoveries could be broadcasted all over the net.

While I must say the handbook part is getting a little ahead ;P, I like the idea. :]
Pretty much reminds me of group teaching, except, it's a group-learn-and-share-and-experiment-and-whatnot. Lol. If I'm understanding properly, anyway.
Personally, I learn and teach best in a small group environment, so from what I'm understanding, it sounds like a nifty idea.

Yeah that's what I thought, lol and yes maybe a little dramatic. But, I psionic handbook would be nice. A standard of some sort would really help out newbie sites. I set up my site to "host" these pod communities. I had thought of using E-mail between a small group of people, which some people would really like. I know I would like to check my E-mail and see some messages about what happens to people trying to train with the same skills I use. Also gives a lot more community feeling if you let the groups name them selves. People might experiment and research to try and get an honorable reputation for their group. Then everyone would win!
