I'm making this thread out of my own example of getting proactive, please use this Thread to point out a Thread that has fluff, or is completely full of fluff, this way J.K. will have an easier time to detect fluff and to do something about it.
Ok, so I go first
The Empathic mimicry thread on the Others section.
Reason: This guy also posted something similar in the dreams section, he doesn't appear to realize that he's just dreaming and that he sees too much Heroes, all his threads are about he doing the stuff in the show, the user is me4er, or something like that, when you read something from him, doubt it, it's most likely fluff.
I hope others follow my example so we could have a Fluff free board. Peace.

Saying about someone that most of what he says is fluff without telling him first is a bit rude in my view. I wouldnt like it if i saw this thread and i suddenly noticed they were talking about me in third person this way.

I think we can't get rid of all the fluff, but we can cut down on it and we'll try this thread. If things don't work, then I'll delete it, but I'm willing to give it a try.
The thread Mist is fluff. Water is not magical people. It's not going to let you foresee stuff in the future. It's just water. It's mass. Yes you can/could use telekinesis to move water and you could freeze it.

It might help to make this a closed thread for admins, teachers and mods. If a member noticed a problem they could pm one of you so you could watch the poster in question.
Sometimes a newbie honestly doesn't know where to post something. They are searching for answers or they wouldn't be here at all.
We need to remember (and I know it's hard to sometimes and we get impatient),that we were all once newbies too.
Just my thots...but if I was very new in my beliefs..and was searching for help...I would be deeply hurt to see myself talked about in a negative way, in front of the whole forum.
It could be that the newbie would be so hurt and discouraged, they would no longer attempt to search for knowledge.

Additionally, keep in mind that what you think is fluff may actually be truth. Be sure to have several people try to test something out to be sure first.
I would hate to see some of the threads go away that seem to be fluff but are true. By most people's standards, almost all of what I do now is either fluff, or magic and not allowed.
Keep an open mind, and explore all possibilities. Just don't let your brain fall out, or get super-glued in place. Either possibility is just as bad.

I'm open to ideas, but things that shout out "FLUFFF ALERTT!!!!" really is bad. I can understand a little bit of fluff, I mean I think everyone at one point has posted at least one thing about fluff, but that's about all you should ever. Eliminating fluff completely would be nearly impossible, but cutting down on it seems a lot easier.

Yeah, I didn't meant to be rude... And I'm not against newbies, really, and I understand there are some things that can be done. I'm just saying that there are some people that just tell lies, or they have very active imaginations, I'm not against the natural fluff, because there will always be, I'm just against things people see on Fantasy shows and claim they can do, or people that claim they can do every psi technique with amazing results, frankly if that were true we would know by now... But Anyway, please do use this thread to try and keep a cleaner, healthier site

I think that seeing your name on here would actually make you more likely to straighten out!
I'm going to sticky this, and of course if it gets locked it'll be unstikyed...lol..

The thread Mist is fluff. Water is not magical people. It's not going to let you foresee stuff in the future. It's just water. It's mass. Yes you can/could use telekinesis to move water and you could freeze it. Actually, I'm going to contest that, since any reflective or transparent surface can be used for scrying. So technically, you CAN use water to see the future--assuming you can scry. ^_^ I think there's also a form of "poor man's I Ching" where you can use droplets of water thrown onto concentric circles instead of throwing stones--although you'd have to be REALLY poor to have to resort to that. Also, water's a fairly good channel for energy--maybe not psi, but I know it's great for storing chi, and I guess you could use it as a focus if you wanted. Water may not itself be magical, but it sure is useful for a number of metaphysical practices.
