Has anybody here ever written anything "just for the heck of it"? If so, you can say what you have here, and share your thoughts and tips about it with the rest. And you can post whatever you have written, if you want. Myself, I have a huge story, but it's less than half done.

OH OH OH ME ME ME ME! *raises her hand* OH I do! Pick me! *stands up at the front of the class* Once on upon a time there was a girl. This girl was a psionic. One day she was playing GotPsi, which is an awsome site for practicing rv and make Mat want to quit. That day the girl got first place on the first and hardest game there. She was very happy and proud of herself. It had been a crazy day for her complete with some random person attacking and blocking her from psi, a headache, being cold, and being really really really bored because her evil sith parents won't let her do anything except extra homework for school. THE END! Thank you thank you!

ahem. (satan face) It was a normal day, but the situation was abnormal. Although he was using effort, the boy couldn't pick up his bad result. The girl she was playing with was too omnipotent with her Remote Viewing skills that day. The boy, definitely not used to lose, was determined to get up from a huge advantage from the girl, although the game only got him even more tense.
More so, the boy didn't want to lose now, but there was nothing he could do to solve it. All he did was wrong, and so, the girl was beating him for a whole chunk. But then... the girl did a bad move. She hadn't done any on this particular game, for some reason, but the boy knew how to use it, and did. The advantage became smaller.
After that, it seemed like luck was by the boy's side. The boy got many impossible targets, including the ones who were not so impossible. Although he had tried to accomplish RV several times, his own results, which were spontaneous and low, weren't nearly as good as the girl's, but in this particular game, he was a master, as that is a skill that is only a secondary aspect of the game. Since the boy wasn't doing anything special, he just attributed it to his luck.
The girl ended up almost losing at the very end of that match, almost without a chance. She had done two more bad moves at the end, which let her friend turn over her score, especially with a bomb. When she was only two targets from winning and there was a huge area, and her friend needed five targets, her friend noticed that luck had once more fallen apart. Combined with her RV skills, that wasn't a good signal. Finally, the boy understood that even after all that effort, there wasn't any way to win. There was too much free space and he was way behind, and it looked like the luck who had helped him had banished as well.
He did a desperate move, bombed a small area and won, 26 to 24. All the remaining mines were in that small area. And once more, he proved his professionality in this game. Poor girl, though, he thought: the boy knew he had won in a very unfair way, as the girl had done everything to get victory. And the girl was one of his closest friends at the moment.
He ended up sad. He knew, for a fact, that victory was one of the best things in this hell-ish world, but there was a lot of it he didn't, he couldn't know about. His friendship instincts and feelings came over again, and then, he thought that maybe losing, despite affecting his incredible record, was the best thing that could happen. He really hadn't picked to win or to lose, but the girl said that she was satisfied with what he had done, and that he shouldn't worry. She wanted him to play as good as he could: she was also a very good player, although not as good as him.
With that in mind, the boy had no remedy, for his good, and for his friend's, to succumb to those words. The girl was a very nice person, and for a strange reason, he didn't think that was she was saying were random words. After hearing a new word from her, the boy then proceeded to forget everything, and clicked on a small button. A new field came up, prepared for a new adventure: but once again, both friends were very happy, more than they were before. And so, both of them knew that the result didn't matter now, and restricted themselves to playing for fun.
~-_-^~The End~^-_-~

Oh how she hated her family. She wasn't suppose to hate, but she did. She knew it was a normal human emotion that anyone would have in her position, but she was a woman of peace. Peace was the only way to survive in her house.
You see her house of full of anger. It was like a drug, additive and all the more dangerous. It ate at you. It attacked your weakest part. It was a sly fog that you could never turn your back to. It could never be trusted and it was always there.
She knew all these things and yet it somehow surprised her when the anger got to her. She was training how to keep calm and it felt like a loosing battle. She was slowly loosing her grip and it scared her. It started with cursing and then the yelling and screaming and it was becoming harder and harder not to go voilent. She forced herself to be a light in the night. She had to be one for the sake of others.
It seemed to be her destiny to be a strength for others. it didn't matter that she had her own problems. What mattered was when someone gave the cry of help she had to recongize it and come to aid. She had to cast all emotions out to allow the needy's emotions to be taken in and be cared for. That was her gift.
Like all gifts there is always a curse to it. Empathy is well known for it's overloading, but that wasn't always the case with her. As well as she could sense and take it the emotions, often times she was controlled by them in ways she wasn't aware of. Some of her friends were able to point this out and that only made it worse.
Her biggest project with using her talent was figuring out her dad. He was the most complex being she had ever known. It took her years to figure out that her father was actually afraid of the world and that is why he was always angry. He wanted control. He wanted people to agree and do everything his way. His way was the only way. He tried his hardest to force his thoughts and feeling on the girl, but not even mind tricks could work on her. She was too strong minded, too stubborn.
She spent day and night fighting this anger...this darkness. This story does not have an ending because the fight will never end. She knows deep in her heart there is darkness everywhere. It's depressing as anything, but she must fight. She must fight it for others who can not fight.
