I have been looking for some specific information about this...
I would like to know if the headaches from overloading are always in the same spot or does it hurt in random places every time.
I sometimes have migraine and it always starts with painful throbbing above my left eye.
When I'm in crowded places and I'm starting to overload from all the emotions it feels almost the same as migraine does but the pain is above my right eye.
So if you could tell me some of your experiences?

From what I've heard, the pain is in the same spot.
If yours is in different areas, it's most likely because of two different problems/causes, like maybe worry/anxiety and the empathy.

people who are empathic would only overload if they take onboard more than the can handle. this is due to poor or no protection or over use of the ability. the headache will be in the same place, but it would also depend of if the person or people who you are linked to, if they had a headache also.
its also good to pay attention to where the pain is, sometimes it can be linked to a persific chakra also. for eg, you could the pain on top of your head, if so that could surgest overuse of the crown chakra, the middle of the eyes; the brow chakra. and so on

Thank you all for answering.
I really don't have much control over my ability so this will help me identify the situations when i should go away from crowds etc...
And as lonewolf says I overload because I have no means of protection. I can't create shields or anything that would even resemble one so the only option for me right now is to leave when the situation looks bad.
Right now I'm training to create a shield but at this point it seems it will take months/years before I can do it.

In all the years I've studied this, yes you can overload and get a headache from it. nothing terrible unless you really over do it.
