i have always been a natural empath. recently, because of my busy days and times.. i did not used empathy much. not actively at least.
i was wondering, if we could lose a psionic ability like empathy?
my view is that we cannot, especially when we were given this ability as a gift.
but is there a possibility such thing could happen?
=)

Yes. I think that there is. It's like a muscle. If ya don't use it, ya lose it...as the saying goes (although not about psionics I don't think). If you were born and were always really strong, then all of a sudden you just started sitting around and eating potato crisps all day, you'll stop being stron and loose muscle.
Same thing. If you stop using empathy, then you won't be as good at it, and after a while you very well may be able to loose it.

I have to agree somewhat with iluveire. I haven't used empathy much in the past few weeks and it's gotten a bit weak (like the muscle analogy that was made). I've made it a point to practice at least once a day with it, even if it's only for a few seconds. Try that and your empathy should get stronger little by little. However, DON'T strain yourself. If you do that, you might really do some damage to yourself and not be able to use empathy at all. I'm not trying to scare you, just give you some useful advice.
