When i was raeding a book called the giver it had a chapter that was talking deeply about felings then i started feeling those feelings. This isn't the only time like at movies when just a little bit of happiness shows up i can be happy for hours without reason. So i tried to send a happy feeling to my friend who was sad but it diddn't work. So i can feel extreme emotions from the littlest things but can't send emotions is that empathy

In short: probably not. We can go into what the author was feeling at the time, but most likely you are just reading a book by a very good author who can evoke the feeling by using good imagery and word choice. We learned about that in school. Some people can't send emotions very well...it's just something you need to work on.

Probably not. If it was personally written, possibly. Though it ISN'T impossible, it still is not likely. I've read books, that sometimes filled me with sorrow, or giddyness. Words can play a lot upon ourselves.
