I was joking around with a friend of mine the other day about how awesome it would be to be able to use telepathy in class. It got me thinking: maybe I really should introduce her to the reality of telepathy. It would be nice to have someone to practice with. What say you?

Depends, only you yourself can answer that question. It's all about how that person will take the knowledge. It's predictable to an extent. If you have a feeling she might like it, go ahead, if you have a feeling it will turn out bad don't. Just go with your gut . I know I've told my brothers and sister, and step mom about it and they didnt say anything. My sister actually was semi into it for a bit. My brothers and stepmom probably forgot by now.

Sure, but try and get a good friend not a friend who will be like "OMG your a freak" once you show her. I did that, had to choose my most understanding and favorite friend to get into psionics with

She may like the idea, she may freak out, or just not care. Is she the kind of person who spreads rumours? Probably not the best person to tell. PS I think this should be in the general/general psionics board. It isn't really a question about telepathy, the question just involves it.

If you decide to go ahead and tell her then remeber you dont have to tell her everything you know. You can always go down the route of "I read this on the net and thought it would be cool to try it", see how she handles it. That way if she is funny about it then all she thinks is you have too much spare time

Yes, it is quite a relief to be able to talk to someone you know about it, so if she takes it well, its quite fun, and nice to have some one to talk to. So I agree with MrPerfect, and everyone else, if you think its a good idea go for it its a nice thing to have.

IF you trust her and she is openminded go for it.

Thanks for all the input, everyone, but nevermind. I've come to realize that this "friend" is not someone who I would tell any sort of secret to, let alone my biggest one. Thank you, though

[/quote] You guys have telepathic conversations with each other...I find that hard to beleive no offense, because that is a skill that even some of the most advanced people in telepathy can't do...

Well, T_Hornberger, I guess it depends on what Mr Perfect mean by telepathic conversation. I can't hold long conversations through telepathy, nor any that have as much detail as, say, a telephone conversation, but I ping messages back and forth with my mentor (spilledchemicals) and my friend Austin (who is also interested in psionics) all the time!
