Telepathy covers a broad range of practices but there are three main ones. Opening your mind to receive and sense those thoughts around you, in your own mind, or in another being. Implying your own thoughts in such a way that you can make them stand out more as you please, and get the other person to notice them. The third is modifying or erasing thoughts and although this can be used for harm, I will tell of it anyway so you can be aware of how to defend against it, and how you can use it for good.
Lots of people do not like meditation. The reason for this being even the most patient people cannot rid themselves of all thoughts and must thing of something. Some can do meditation fully but for those who cannot I will give you the next best thing. Instead of clearing your thoughts and then focusing on what you want to receive from, keep the person or thing in your mind clearly. Try and avoid using pictures or words, but if you have to focus on their name, then erase the name from your mind but still focus on the feeling the name gave you when you first saw it. Keeping in mind that feeling, if any other thoughts appear, do not try and force them out of your mind, nor get frustrated that your mind is not clear, but keep on focusing on that idea and they soon will pass. Do this until your mind is focused only on that one idea and you are ready. For those who do have the patience for normal meditation do a full void meditation of your choice so that your mind is totally clear and then focus on that idea.
Now that your only focused on the idea of that person, any other feelings or ideas you get, possibly even manifesting into words, pictures or sounds, will be either about that person or in their mind. The reason why normal meditation works better, and I recommend doing that instead of the modified version, is because when focusing on that idea, the other thoughts you let go may have vanished. While doing normal meditation, after clearing your mind and then focusing on that one idea you are sure that none of the other thoughts were about that person, since you were not focusing on them. You were likely focusing on your breathing at that time. Both still work but the real meditation works better.
Any natural empathetic people or empaths should definetly put up a shield against emotions before or soon after doing this since the normal meditation helps you receive anything, thoughts or emotions, and your likely going to get some strong ones unless your opponent is meditating also or usually is calm or void. For those using the modified one same thing goes although I recommend doing it before, as your not letting all thoughts pass but are actually focusing on the person.
Unless your really good, or even know how to translate the pure feelings your getting from that one idea, you may need a partner in this. Since you will not be able to recognize the concepts. Tell your partner to make a picture of an apple in their mind, think of an apple, apple picking, etc. Anything to do with an apple. When you receive one of these feelings stronger then the others it is likely the apple. Keep this feeling in mind and tell yourself to associated with apples. Do this for as many times as you want. Another method which you can do by yourself is think of the picture of an apple or whatever, then erase the picture but still hold onto and know the feeling your getting. This will help you associate pictures and words with concepts or ideas.
Get your friend, or get one if you did not have one, to now focus on any one of the things she/he focused on before. Now once you receive that feeling, you will know usually which picture it was associated with, and tell her that. If your wrong keep trying with different ones until you get it. With practice you will get it right on all the time. If you do not have a friend, parent, or someone on the internet to practice with, then try and do it casually. For instance focus on your mother, and if you get the idea of an apple watch her. If she picks up an apple or does something about apples you receiving it. Some might say it can be coincidence but even through speech your receiving something, and with practice direct receiving will follow.
For sending, just do the same thing, although when your receiving the ideas put your own idea there and try and make it stronger then the rest. Warning. Do not try and get rid of the other thoughts as that is a method of thought manipulation and it can brainwash, or hurt the receiver badly. Also, trying to put your idea instead of another thought is a method of manipulation and can be used for harm. Back to that, get your friend to tell you what they thought of first, and repeat until you've got it down. If you do not have someone to practice with, again try putting the thought of an apple, stronger in your mother or fathers mind, then let's say a pear. Now if she/he goes for the fruit bowl and picks an apple instead of a pear, or decides to choose an apple over other things even slightly, your probably sending to her. Again this may be coincidence but it is a good method and if you continually repeat it eventually the real thing will follow.
On the subject of though manipulation I will give you a basic description of how to do each. Let us say the thought of your friends boyfriend is troubling her and she asks for help. Sense her and try and dull, or get rid of the thought of the pain her boyfriends caused. Do not get rid of the thought about the boyfriend or the pain completely, since you want her still aware of it so she will not make the same mistake twice. You could do this for yourself or others when they are getting needles and eliminate the thought of pain. There are many possibilities including ones that can be used for harm although I do not wish you do so.
You can use the above techniques to better understand your animals, as you can with empathy, heal or help someone, or if your really good, communicate over vast distances.
