i have to be at the place first

i can kinda do clairvoiance, but it only works if i was at the place before. i did some reading on the net and they said i should empty my mind and think about looking into a pool of ink and wait for things to come, and they said if i can recognise it then its my imagination and should throw it away, and that i sould have a sender. but when i'm doing it i just want to see whats happening somewhere so i visualise what the place looks like and then see what happens, but i'm not very good at this and most time i'm sure its my imagination.
what methods do you use?

I just think of what I want to see, and close my eyes and wait for things to come to me...
I try not to visualise anything, so that when I see something, I can be sure it's not my imagination...
Mostly I'm right, but only with simple things like what color someone's shirt is

yeah, i can do something like that. i'm walking and hear a car comming up behind me and most of the time i get the colour of it right

I just focus on the place without visualising, and let images come to me...

I think I RV'ed the moon and the sun... nice view
