i was doing some resurch on the US gov. and found a program(stargate) that have been $funded$ for over 20 years by the gov. and found that just about all there files were "clasified" how ever the few that were not was about home land securaty using RV. all though this provides nothing "solid" i did find it "fishy" and am trying to see if any one has heard of it ...there was also a british brach of this program.
btw i know theres a moive about this and that has nothing to do with what im talking about......but it might have been made after it

Well it was an amazing show, and it wouldnt surprise me if they had made a cool website that behaves as though the stargate is real. I'm not sure that it doesnt exist, but I think it would be stupid of them to call it the same thing as the tv show. Mainly because it could pop up on google.
And if its a classified matter, why would it pop up on a search engine just like that?

I have so much info I have to double post. Project stargate, sun streak, centerline, and grill frame were all actual government sanctioned projects. Here's the info I've found on the web.
Project STARGATE, SUN STREAK, CENTER LINE(was not found, still classified), GRILL FLAME The Stargate Project was one of a number of code names used to cover "remote viewing programs". Others included Sun Streak, Grill Flame, Center Lane by DIA and INSCOM, and SCANATE by CIA, from the 1970s, through to 1995. It was an offshoot of research done at Stanford Research Institute (SRI). The research program was launched partly because some intelligence officers believed a 'psi-gap' had emerged between America and the Soviet Union, citing, for example, the abilities of Nina Kulagina. Remote viewing attempts to sense places or events are normally performed in the present, but sessions have also been undertaken to sense the past and future.
[edit] The Stargate Project The Stargate Project created a set of protocols designed to make clairvoyance a more scientific process, and minimize as much as possible session noise and inaccuracy. The term "remote viewing" emerged as a generalised short hand to describe this more structured approach to clairvoyance. The project was eventually terminated, according to the official report at the time, because there was insufficient evidence of the utility of the intelligence data produced. In 1989 new civilian administrators, unfamiliar with CRV protocols, had brought in "witches," tarot card readers, and channelers, thereby, it is argued, deteriorating the quality of the project's data. In 1995 the project was transferred to the CIA and a retrospective evaluation of the results was done. The CIA contracted the American Institutes for Research for this evaluation. An analysis conducted by Professor Jessica Utts showed a statistically significant effect, with gifted subjects scoring 5%-15% above chance, though subject reports included a large amount of irrelevant information, and when reports did seem on target they were vague and general in nature. [1] Professor Ray Hyman concluded a null result. Based upon both of their collected findings, the CIA followed the recommendation to terminate the 20 million dollar project.Time magazine stated in 1995 three full-time psychics were still working on a $500,000-a-year budget out of Fort Meade, Maryland, which would soon close up shop. [1]
[edit] Key project personnel Major General Albert Stubblebine: A key sponsor of the research internally at Fort Meade, he was convinced of the reality of a wide variety of psychic phenomena, leading him to even attempt to walk through walls. In the early 1980s he was responsible for Army Intelligence, during which time the remote viewing project in the army began. Some commentators have confused Project Jedi supposedly run by Special Forces primarily out of Fort Bragg with Stargate. Ingo Swann: Swann coined the term 'remote viewing' as a derivation of protocols originally developed by René Warcollier, a French chemical engineer in the early 20th century, documented in the book Mind to Mind. Swann's achievement was to break free from the conventional mould of casual experimentation and candidate burn out, and develop a viable set of protocols that put clairvoyance within a framework named “Coordinate Remote Viewing” (CRV). Patrick Price: Price was a remote viewer during the early part of the program. Joseph McMoneagle: In the early 1970's McMoneagle reported a a near-death Experience which gave him psychic powers. McMoneagle has stated that remote viewing ability is predominantly determined by innate talent. Lyn Buchanan: Buchanan was a sergeant brought in by General Stubblebine for two main reasons: firstly extraordinary telekinetic abilities, and secondly computer software expertise. These made him exceptionally well-qualified to be the database manager for the Stargate project. In this role, Buchanan had the opportunity to work with all the key members of the unit, and in possession of statistical analysis of the session data, was able to properly assess the accuracy of the session data obtained. After leaving the forces, Buchanan founded "Problems, Innovations, Solutions", contracted Mel Riley to work for his company, and continues to undertake private tuition. Mel Riley: Riley is an army Sergeant who retired in 1991. Riley was noted for being able to describe what lay under objects in aerial photography. In 1984, the CRV unit had only several trained remote viewers, and Riley was requested transferred to the unit. Riley was featured in the documentary released in 1995 by the BBC titled "The Real X-Files." He has recounted past life experiences as a Native American, and continues to be involved in native American culture. Paul H. Smith: Smith is a retired you.S. Army Major and intelligence officer. Smith was one of the five people trained as a prototype test subject in Ingo Swann's psychic development of the CRV protocols in 1983. Smith was later assigned to work part time in the Defense Intelligence Agency’s remote viewing unit. He was the main author of what is known today as the “CRV Manual”. Smith, having natural artistic abilities, produced impressive CRV session sketches. He always preferred to remote view in the blind, being tasked with CRV coordinates by a project manager. Ed Dames: Dames was one of the first five remote viewers who were trained by Ingo Swann in the Coordinate Remote Viewing protocols. He quickly established a reputation for pushing CRV to extremes, with target sessions on Atlantis, Mars, UFOs, and aliens. However, Joe McMoneagle has expressed the opinion session feedback is required to learn CRV, and this could not be obtained when targeting such unverifiable locations. Mel Riley arranged a fake session in which a description was given of Santa Claus coming over the North Pole in his sleigh (Schnabel). Dames said the object over the north pole was a nuclear attack, and was set to call the highest levels of the military, before he was informed of the prank. Internally, his reputation never recovered. David Morehouse: David Morehouse entered into the DIA's Remote Viewing unit in 1987. Despite being designated by his superiors as “Destined to wear stars,” he resigned his commission in 1995 after his decision to write Psychic Warrior—his resignation ended eighteen years of exemplary and honorable military service. He is the director of David Morehouse productions, and his company has trained 15,000 civilians in Remote Viewing Techniques.

Project sun streak Secret CIA Files Warned of Attacks Against NYC and Washington
Gary S. Bekkum March 28, 2006 One of our beltway contacts hinted that his friend at CIA was aware of the 9/11 events prior to their occurrence. Naturally we were intrigued by this hearsay, but if this was true we needed evidence. Project STAR GATE Shortly after this we came across a 1983 CIA Project STAR GATE document suggesting that INSCOM military personnel had provided unofficial intelligence, warning of an air attack against the you.S. Capitol Building, in Washington, D.C. Identification of the pilot's name closely matched 9/11 terrorist Ziad Jarrah, a curious coincidence at the very least. Further investigation of the STAR GATE files revealed a series of reports warning of air attacks against New York City, the Pentagon Building in Washington, D.C., and the White House: "New York City will be the target of an unexpected terrorist attack, by air and ground, of ... suicide-forces ... Washington will also be a target, simultaneously with the primary targets being the White House ... Pentagon ... Newspaper headlines have something to do with a collapse of a building - a lot of people hurt or injured. I also sense a feeling of panic, people scrambling and perhaps something to do with an aircraft...I sense that the object may cause structural damage as it crashes through the building. All of this takes place sometime in the future." On March 27th, 2006, Zacarias Moussaoui confessed that had he not been arrested, he had intended to hijack a fifth plane and crash it into the White House as part of the 9/11 attacks. This revelation supports predictions discovered in the STAR GATE files. DIA sources reported that the attack against the White House (and the Capitol Building, in the earlier 1983 document) would fail, and that the President would survive.
On June 17th, 1986, specially trained Defense Intelligence Agency Project SUN STREAK sources were given sealed envelopes containing target data, and instructed not to open their envelopes nor share information with each other. Their mission involved the use of an exotic technology developed in secret by the military, in order to covertly spy upon the enemies of America. The highly classified technology was capable of penetrating the veil of space and time, to permit the viewing of targets beyond the reach of the best conventional methods. A product of years of scientific research, official Defense Intelligence Agency documents recently released by the CIA confirm, "There is no known defense." Called psychoenergetics by the military, this technology was secretly brought to bear against the threat of terror on American soil. DIA sources, called viewers, acted as biological time machines, often receiving detailed information about distant places and events. The method was known within the intelligence community as remote viewing. Human Time Machines Oxford's David Deutsch, a world leading physicist in the area of quantum computing, has explained that quantum theory demonstrates that our world is merely one possible outcome in a vast infinite set of possible other worlds called the multiverse. Far from being science fiction, this idea is at the core of developing 21st Century technologies. Deutsch explains that what we know as other times are merely special cases of other universes in this vast multiverse. In his 1997 landmark book, "The Fabric of Reality" Deutsch writes that, "We exist in multiple versions, in universes called 'moments'. Each version of us is not directly aware of the others, but has evidence of their existence because physical laws link the contents of different universes...there tends to be very little interchange of information between universes because the laws of physics predict very little causal contact between them...possession of a time machine would allow us access to knowledge from an entirely new source, namely the creativity of minds in other universes. They could also receive knowledge from us, so that one can loosely speak of a 'trade' in knowledge...across many universes...a time machine is a computational resource that allows certain types of computation to be performed with enormously greater efficiency by effectively sharing computational work among copies of itself in different universes." The CIA STAR GATE research suggests that information from closely related universes can be accessed by the human mind, at least for certain special individuals. So could the human mind be some kind of time machine? Or is it possible that information from the future has been encoded inside the human mind from an outside source with access to a time machine? SUN STREAK: Defense Intelligence Agency Psychic Anti-terror Unit In June of 1986, the mission objective was clear: "So that we may have the opportunity to thwart any hostile terrorist activities..." It was assumed that any terrorist event would be reported in the news, so the instructions asked that the viewers describe the story as it would be reported in the Washington Post. Of immediate concern for the intelligence officers tasking the remote viewers was Liberty Weekend, the 100th birthday party for the Statue of Liberty. Instructions sealed inside the envelopes provided cueing for the viewers to operate outside of their normal perceptions, and access the target. Four separate sources, working independently, were tasked to view the same target without the benefit of knowing the official instructions hidden within the envelopes. It seemed as if various unknowns had conspired together from beyond space and time, drawing the viewers? attention away from 1986 to New York City, on September 11, 2001. The intelligence officers tasking their sources in 1986 had not been prepared for information about events some fifteen years into the future. The immediate concern was predicting potential terrorist events during the summer of 1986, but the data they received was so ominous that it could not be ignored. They sought additional information by tasking the sources outside standard DIA Project SUN STREAK remote viewing protocols. Official CIA Files Reveal Images of 9/11 "Some event is involved...seems like an explosion...impression of large, round metallic object made of heavy-duty construction, perhaps involving moveable, rotating parts...impression of something white with wide-spread, contoured surfaces like something intended to fly...relatively small number of people involved, but connection with broader circle of people exists...impression of an air attack by terrorists ..." On September 11, 2001, as Flight 11 descended into the World Trade Center with jet turbines wailing like a banshee choir, one can only imagine the psychic shock of the unfortunate victims as they watched the plane approach at nearly 500 miles per hour. "A rather large, tall structure..." "Site is a massive grey structure. It has a stepped or different level feeling, stacked...newspaper headlines have something to do with a collapse of a building - a lot of people hurt or injured. I also sense a feeling of panic, people scrambling and perhaps something to do with an aircraft...I sense that the object may cause structural damage as it crashes through the building. All of this takes place sometime in the future." The DIA sources had been asked to seek out reports of hostile terrorist activities that would later be reported in the Washington Post. Technically, their mission had been a failure. The tasking officers had asked them to focus their attention on events of July, 1986. Why had the viewers' perception moved so far into the future? Jumping the Target Lyn Buchanan, a retired DIA source who was one of the four SUN STREAK viewers explained, "You will almost always find things in any session which can apply to another target (all outdoor targets have sky). But it is when the majority of impressions overwhelmingly apply to one target instead of the tasked one, that you can say a viewer (or set of viewers) has jumped target. In the case of the Liberty weekend (which, I think, is the turning on of the lights and festivities at the refurbished Statue of Liberty), it is very likely that a lot of 9/11 material was mixed in with the findings. In fact, I would be surprised if it weren't. This, however, is usually called target mixing. At the time, we decided that the fireworks displays were taken by the viewers to be attacks and explosions, and that the excitement was taken to be terror, but in fact, we were viewing the same buildings, and that almost always runs the risk of falling prey to temporal attractors, which the 9/11 disaster would certainly be." Project 911 Another interesting coincidence found in the STAR GATE files is a reference to Project 911. There is a web site called Project 911 that archives newspaper headlines dealing with the events of September 11, 2001. This suggests that the tasking may have been related to the remote viewing of future headlines. The document describes papers laid out on a table in draft form. A drawing made by the source resembles a newspaper being held by a man.

Here's the rest. The 1986 DIA SUN STREAK Working Report The DIA intelligence officers eventually arrived at the following interpretation: "This skewing of the reported data can be caused by a number of technical problems generated by the somewhat unusual procedures utilized in this project, e.g., repeated tasking of essentially the same target by the Sources using a variety of techniques, the possibility of certain psychic phenomena (noise) caused by the military and para-military preparations for the security procedures of the events of Liberty Weekend and the possibility of pre-conceptions on the part of the interviewers being reported through psychic channels by the Sources. Other more complex problems occur when dealing in future perceptions which may have confused the data received by the Sources. These final responses, edited for clarity, are provided in their entirety, to permit independent-appraisal of the responses given to the interviewers: NYC (New York City) will be the target of an unexpected terrorist attack, by air and ground, of ...suicide-forces..." In fact the World Trade Center was attacked first by ground, in the 1993 garage bombing, followed by the massive air attack on September 11, 2001. If one removes the obvious 1986 temporal overlay and interpretive reference to al Khadaffi and then President Ronald Reagan, and instead makes the identification with al Qaeda, the remaining details are strikingly accurate: "Because of the number of people in attendance, American and foreign, and the televised coverage, there will be international repercussions...Washington will also be a target, simultaneously with (the) primary targets (being) the White House... (and the) Pentagon..." In the above, we excised interpretive details identifying President Reagan, cold war era relations, and Khadaffi. What remains is the correct identification of the 9/11 targets. This is further reinforced by what follows: "(SOURCE 021) NOTE: This particular Source commented later that these perceptions were so strong and clear that she attempted to flag down a member of the interviewer staff on the highway to report her on-going perceptions. The Source further became somewhat anxious by her unusually clear perceptions due to two personal agendas - a spouse who is assigned to the Pentagon and a sister who is intending to participate in the NYC ceremonies. She went so far as to request guidance from the interviewer staff on what actions, if any she should take, to insure the safety of her relatives, bearing in mind that as of yet, she has not been told the nature of the questions or the entire project." Starstream Reports: The primary conceptual basis for the Space Time Threat Assessment Reports comes from the reports of anomalous information appearing within human perception. Is this information merely anticipatory simulation within the human mind or is there a source? If information from outside of the light cone of spacetime causality can be perceived, then there is a strong suggestion of the existence of superluminal faster than light signals. The idea of receiving signals from the future was seriously explored under a series of top secret confidential government run programs in the United States. The collective results of these programs came under control of the Central Intelligence Agency in 1995 as the STAR GATE program. CIA and DIA documents, and additional commentary and information, are available for viewing at the Starstream Research web site: www.starstreamresearch.comSources: CIA-RDP96-00789R000100240018-6 CIA FILE: SUN STREAK Working paper 25 June 1986 Project CY8608 David Deutsch, "The Fabric of Reality" ISBN: 014027541X A special thank you to DIA source Lyn Buchanan for providing his first hand insight into remote viewing technology. Project Grill Flame GRILL-FLAME Major Edward Dames, formerly with the Pentagon's Defense Intelligence Agency until 1992, was a long-serving member of the highly classified operation GRILL-FLAME, a program that focused on some of the more bizarre possibilities of intelligence gathering and remote interrogation. Known as "remote viewers," GRILL-FLAME personnel possessed a marked psychic ability that was put to use "penetrating" designated targets and gathering important intelligence on significant figures. The program operated with two teams: one working out of the top secret NSA facility at Fort George Meade in Maryland, and the other at SRI. Results are said to have been exemplary. Following the Oliver North debacle, the Secretary of Defense officially terminated GRILL-FLAME, fearing bad publicity if the program were to become known to the public. The leading members of the project -- including Dames -- immediately relocated to the privately owned and newly formed Psi-Tech, and continue their work to this day, operating under government contract. In the course of his work, Dames was (and remains) close to many the leading figures and proponents anti-personnel electromagnetic weapons, especially those that operate in the neurological field. During NBC's "The Other Side" program, Dames stated that "The you.S. Government has an electronic device which could implant thoughts in people." He refused to comment further. The program was broadcast during April 1995. Toward a Psycho-Civilized Society by David G. Guyatt Stargate was a CIA-sponsored project researching the usefulness of remote viewing as a tool for intelligence gathering. The name has since become a rubric for multiple classified programs investigating remote viewing, conducted under a variety of code names, including Scanate, Center Lane, Sun Streak and Grill Flame. [edit] History Stargate was initiated in response to CIA concerns about alleged Soviet research into psychic phenomena as an aid to their Intelligence programs. The initial CIA-funded research program, called SCANATE (scan by coordinate), began in 1970. In 1972 remote viewing research began at the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) in Menlo Park, CA., under the supervision of Russell Targ and Harold Puthoff. The SRI program began with a small number of individuals who were seen as being particularly gifted in this area. These included New York artist Ingo Swann, who went on to lay the groundwork for the techniques of Coordinate Remote Viewing (CRV). Further research was carried out from 1978 under the auspices of Army intelligence at Fort Meade, MD., under the name Grill Flame. Remote viewers were chosen from both soldiers and civilians, who were thought to possess natural psychic ability. The SRI research program and Grill Flame were merged in early 1979, and the project continues on as a highly classified program. In 1983 the program was re-designated as the INSCOM Center Lane Project (ICLP). It was during this time that Ingo Swann and Harold Puthoff developed the CRV Manual, through which anyone could be trained on how to remote view. Army funding for the project ended in late 1985, after an unfavourable review of the results via the National Academy of Sciences. However, the program was redesignated as Project Sun Streak and transferred to the Defense Intelligence Agency's Scientific and Technical Intelligence Directorate, with the office code DT-S. In 1991 the program transitioned to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) and was renamed Project Star Gate, under the supervision of Edwin May, who presided over 70% of the total contractor budget and 85% of the program's data collection. More than $20 million was spent on Stargate-related projects over the course of two decades, with $11 million budgeted from the mid-1980's to the early 1990s. Around 23 remote viewers were used, including Ingo Swann, Pat Buchanan, Paul Smith, Joseph McMoneagle and Ed Dames. [edit] Techniques Stargate-related programs utilised at least three different techniques for remote viewing: Coordinate Remote Viewing (CRV) - the original SRI-developed technique in which viewers were asked what they "saw" at specified geographic coordinates Extended Remote Viewing (ERV) - a hybrid relaxation/meditative-based method Written Remote Viewing (WRV) - a hybrid of both channeling and automatic writing was introduced in 1988, though it proved controversial and was regarded by some as much less reliable. [edit] Conclusion In 1995 the American Institutes for Research (AIR) was contracted by the CIA to evaluate the Star Gate program. The report was written by statistician Jessica Utts and skeptic Ray Hyman (a prominent member of CSICOP). Utts gave a positive assessment of the data, concluding that "using the standards applied to any other area of science, it is concluded that psychic function has been well established.... It is recommended that future experiments focus on understanding how this phenomenon works, and on how to make it as useful as possible." However, Hyman's summation was negative, although his reasoning may be seen as a case of special pleading: "the experiments are well-designed and the investigators have taken pains to eliminate the known weaknesses in previous parapsychological research. In addition, I cannot provide suitable candidates for what flaws, if any, might be present. Just the same, it is impossible in principle to say that any particular experiment or experimental series is completely free from flaws." The final recommendation by AIR was to terminate Star Gate, perhaps mainly due to the lack of applicability to gaining meaningful intelligence from remote viewing. It is not known whether the program has truly finished, or is continuing on 'under cover' once more. Sorry for what i've said then.
I just thought it was something the makers of the show did. Cause in the show they also have some people start a show about the stargate,
But i did not have the patience to read all this right now. What conclusion did they come to, anyone know? Are they using psi?

You need to read to be able to understand. They used Remote Viewing to spy other nations, but it basically wasnt so reliable in the battlefield because the protocol requires a peaceful place. Interesting material. Kudos to you, legatosama.

Actually, it's VERY smart to make a TV program with the same name, a game or something like that. Have you noticed how many programs there is about magic, mind reading, seeing spirits ect.. Charmed, Baby-Mindreader( ) Ghost Whisper, Medium, Chris Angel, David Blane ect.. Just a thing worth mention.

Yeah, in a way making it with the same name would be smart, but with the internet these days you could get in trouble with stuff like that. So right now i'd think it's more a bad call than a good one.

Well, everyone on this forum should know if not already know that any kind of country with a government does not want to be left behind and so the government searches for ways to keep ahead. It just so happened that psi was the "thing" of that era not to say that one or two of these projects might not still be active. Since if you paid attention while reading I didn't say all of them had ended, but who knows?
Anyway, gov. saw physics, thought of oppurtunity, went with it, had limited success, moved on. That's basically what happened. Or is it...

Not really. It basically started in Russia with exponents like Nina Kulagina and Wolf Messing. They were outstanding psychics, so the goverment started to show some interest in these abilities.
