Yes, but that is the joy of astral travel for me. I like the fighting. I did get my @&# kicked, but the effects were almost all psychic. The only physical effect was a light headache and drowsiness. I didn't go alone. I made a construct (cat-like creature with wings capable of self-replicating). We took out a lot of the ninjas, but they all seemed to regenerate. I like it though; More fighting and experience for me.

Hi folks! i grew up in a generation where none of us were familiar with astral projection or had heard of it.

Now i see many of you are skilled in this as second nature !

I'm afraid to astral project, but I would love to try it. I did accidentally astral project in a dream i had-- observing an underground laboratory as I followed a grey UFO with my mind.
I saw three men enter the laboratory from the dark grey UFO. They had white jumpsuits on and their faces were concealed. The symbol on the entrance way was the Egyptian eye of Horus.

I remained hiding behind some foilage--and had this sense that I was not to be seen- but to remain hidden. There was also a feeling of foreboding.

I had this "dream" about three times-- the first two times, I just saw the entrance and had that bad feeling.

The second dream I saw my then boyfriend nearby but he hesitated to come closer to the entrance.

the third time i was alone-and that's when I saw the men in jumpsuits enter.


Now I would love to be able to astral project without doing it on "accident" but actually be able to do it intentionally. I am afraid of meeting up with the wrong sort of people/aliens, etc. if you know what i mean---with MY bad luck!

how do you go about learning how to astral project when youre fully awake? Do you meditate and concentrate on something?

I have gone about it through trail and error and I don't use a specific method each time. Each night, time or session that I astral project I use a different method from others. Mainly they are all generally similar where I project my energy first and then detatch my conscious, but the specifics of it always change depending on my mood at that point.

this is a waired subject, projecting concisly. Now i can do it, and so can most of my psionics friends. How ever there are a lot of people quick to surgest its a lie, and your kidding youself. Personaly i think its complety bias, that people even think that its not posible. But still there are people who continue to say im a lier, etc etc. I wonder if these people have even tryed, it fustrates me to no end about it.

I have a small theroy about consily projecting. That you are always in the astral, once you get pased learning how to project, you can just shift your awarness to your astral self. and be anywere you wish.

i started off like anyone else.... well ok, no i didnt.. the very first time was early november, it was after talking to karen about the temple. and asking a billion questions about it. and about guides. (at that time i wasnt aware of my past at the temple or anything.) and i sat down in my room, and closed my eyes. and said "i wish to goto the temple of meridia" i repeated about 5 times, and waited. i just 'pushed' myself out, and found myself. well no were. :/ hehe, then in my physcal eyes (eyes still closed too) i could see a mans face, and he said i wasnt ready.
I said i dont care. im going to stay here for as long as i can. and it lasted about say 2 minutes. i think i got rather to happy and quickly got back on the computer to tell everyone ^_^...
as i became better and better at projecting while resting and eyes closed. it took less and less amount of time, and i was seeing and hearing alot better.

there came a time when i was going through some rather big awakenings, well 3 to be exact. and i would ask my friend (who lives on the other side of the world) if he saw me at the temple. and he would always say yes. well it was a wednessday when he said he saw me walking in circles going "why me, why me, why the f**k me".. and it hit me. omg.. i was saying and doing that while i was a work. i was doing these things in my mind!!.. well that was a real good thing to stumble on, indeed. from there i started to project while i was working, and checking up on friends etc. and then from there i learnt how to project to multiple places at once, and diffrent planes at the same time. (i can tell you that is sooo coool!!)
at work, i talk to entites alot of the time. some i know some just wont to talk. well i was talking to one in perticular, and i knew the presnece. and it got me thinking, this is the same person who i talk to, that lives across the globe. so i started talking to him in spirit and then replaying our convos back to him when i saw him on mirc.. and he was mostly yeah i know, i was talking to you!! 0_0... i was talking to a human who was projecting to me!!! that was pretty cool to figure out. now we talk to each other when we project. its good, because im 13 hours ahead. he watches over me while im at work, and i then watch over him at aschool..

so that is a short history about my projecting lesons.

so basicly, once you project more and more. you will be able to notice your in the astral all the time. or at least be more aware of the astral. so like i said, you just have to shift your awarnes to your astral self.

I personally believe that the Temple of Meridia is created in our own minds, does not exist on the "astral plane", and is different for everyone.

that is your own opinion and I certainly can't stop you from believing that, but all I can say is once a time I too, believed what you do and later changed.

These temples DO exist on the astral plane. Now weither they were created through the group concisness or not. who knows.. i do know the elemental temples were created but not through the human mind.. however some of the other temples, yes humans created them. but they still exist on the astral plane.

just some questions on AP.

I was wondering-- what if a person learns how to astral project- but doesnt have any other psychic skills to create a Construct, etc.

And then that person meets up with some really evil folks on the way to the temples--like someone from the FBI-- and they have no way of protecting themselves in the astral plane?

If they get attacked in the astral plane, will the physical body suffer too?

I know the questions are silly- but they do pop up in my mind and make me wonder.

It's possible for someone to be able to astral project without having any other energy related skills, but that is extremely rare to find.

When you get attacked in the astral plane, the chances are that most of the time, the effects are on a psychic energy level. By this I mean that you may feel tired, energized, pumped up etc. Another common effect is a headache. It has been reported that after an astral battle some people come out with serious pain, but that doesn't happen often. The reason is because of your sensitivity. Most people are plainly just not that sensitive to psychic energy and the patterns within them.

Defending yourself in the astral plane isn't that hard. If you have knowledge of energy manipulation (ie. psi-ball, basic construct, basic shielding) -- seeing that you can astral project, I'd expect so -- then defending yourself against and astral attack isn't at all difficult. Being attacked in the astral relm is almost the equivalent of getting hit with a psi-ball or psi-blast. Proper shielding helps.
