Hello, A few nights ago I believe I AP'ed for the first time. I was in bed, taking a nap, and thinking in the back of my mind that I'd like to try to AP. I fell asleep, and then I 'woke up,' sorta, even though I was still pretty close to the sleep end. I remember some subtle vibration, then I sat up - it was dark, black and white, and there were big dominoes around the room (there aren't normally big dominoes in my room). Then, for some stupid reason, I was like, "oh, this is nice, but I'm tired." and then I focused on my breathing to get back in sync with my body, and then fell asleep again. When I woke up for real and realized what happened, I wasn't sure if I had dreamed it or if I had actually sat up, half awake. I figure I wasn't awake because 1. it was in black and white, 2. it was dark (this was in the afternoon) and, 3. there were dominoes. I figure I wasn't asleep because I never have dreamed of my actual sleeping location, with me in bed, and all that - it was rather real.
Have any of you ever had an experience like this? And do you ever see odd objects that ain't supposed to be there? (I suppose it's possible they weren't dominoes, just contrast between objects, but I was only looking out for what seemed like a few seconds)
Also, on another note, how would I go about meeting my guide? Any additional info would be appreciated too : )
P.S. this is my first time posting, I hope I did everything right : P

Well welcome and yes, it's a nice post, no mistakes or anything I can see.
Um what I would say is that it was just a dream, drawn from your will to wanna try AP'ing right before you fell asleep. But that's just my opinion, and I try to think of the more "rational" explanations before the supernatural one.
But there's no way of knowing what it really was (from that post). I would suggest to keep trying at it, like, consciously trying, and not just thinking about it. From what I've heard, it takes months to be able to induce AP, so you might have a while to wait. It's a matter of letting your consciousness grab on to the "idea," and be tempted or even forced to go out into the realms.

lol that is a myth, about taking months and months to learn how to ap!. i managed to project to the higherplanes first time i tried to conciously leave my body. the higher planes are much higher than an ordenary etheric projection. *below is a basic order of the planes from RTZ to higher planes higher planes higher astral middle astral lower astral RTZ an etheric projection is only limited to the RTZ or lower astral. its is to my knowlage that you cant go any higher in vibration when using the etheric /astral body. in order to go higher you need to learn how to do mental projection, its much the same as RV. beacuse all you are doing is sending your conciousness. the idea though is to match or go above your desired plain. as each plain has a persific vibration and often the exact same thing you feel befor sepertation occurs, you feel it on your phsyical body often felt like rapid shaking, or in other term the vibarions. During your sleep, and i mean everyone here too we all sleep project, its just that 99% of people dont recall. the next time this happens, try visulising yourself at the end of your bed. and then move around, go out side etc. the main aspect of projection is the enherit ability to fly. in the almost every plain above the phsyical one, ie earth. there is no gravity, yes thats right, thats why you can fly. the rules and boundres that we are ucustomed to here on earth isnt the same else where. this is beacuse each plain has differnt rules and boundres that goven that plain. and thus follows, you can fly for now lets just put a question mark aginst this experience, i dont want to say either way because it could affect how you perform next time. there doesnt seem the be enough detale to be sure either. so just keep at it and record you results and we can go from there. i hope that helps a little bit your friend lonewolf

my opinion was that you were just having a dream, but you were aware of it.
If you keep a log of your dreams (by writing them down after they happen when you wake up), you'll be more aware of your dreams in the future. When you see somthing out of place, just tell yourself "This isnt right, i'm dreaming" and either you'll project or at least have a lucid dream.
Again, this is from my perspective
