1. You either don't know because you just "snap" out or you think about coming out and you do.
2. Kind of funny, strange, that pretty much sums it up.
3. Separation feels like a "snap" the first few times. If you don't know what that means then imagine this. You lieing down and your bodys numb. After about who knows how long, you feel like your floating somewhere else. It's not like "oh there's my astral body" its more like "omg im floating " It feels like you really are floating. Even if you bilocate you can feel it.

lay down on your bed. Close your eyes, but do not let yourself get sleepy. Wait for your body to settle and your mind clear. Have your body totally relaxed. It will act as though it's asleep.

2. Does the level of light in the room affect my ability to see in the astral?

No, but it is easier, to me to focus more in the dark, but I have also done it in the day time.

You can, but it's not like having eyes in the back of your head. It's hard to explain.

From what I've researched, you can affect the physical to a limited degree. And I'm fairly sure that you can walk through things in the astral.

Yes this is true. I have walked through walls, people, trees and so on through the astral plane.

wow thats cool, when you walk through walls does it feel weird? i tried to ap last night, and i got this weird separating feeling but nothin happened.
also one more question:
So when you ap, your body keeps its eyes closed, yet your able to see? thats rite ?

you arn't using your physical eyes. astral projection = projecting your astral form OUT of your body.

I know a site that can help you out a lot with astral projection.
it is www.gnosticweb.com. on the site there is a free online course you can take that helps answer a lot of questions you might have. the course goes on for 9-weeks and will give you many different astral projection techniques. im not telling anyone to take it. its your choice.the next course starts on october 9th.
