I am sort of new to AP, I have been practicing and trying to AP for about four months now. I am pretty sure I have gotten close at times, but I always seem to give in to the temptation to open my eyes or turn over and just fall asleep.
I usually try like every other night, not every night. I will most likely start practicing every night, just to see if it helps any. I have read some of the threads and found some pretty good information. This site is cool.

don't expect results right away. its different for all people. some people do it quickly. for others it takes a little while. for me I was trying for 4 or 5 months and then I finally had APed and actually the time I did it is when I stopped trying so hard.
the point is relaxation, concentration. those are the secrets to just about anything. you'll notice once you're focused and relaxed everything gets easier.
practicing everyday could help. meditation everyday before you start is GREAT!

Don't worry about it. Maybe you should try in the morning? A day when you have time and not busy. Pull the phone off the hook or something if you can or get somewhere that will be quiet and there will be no distrubances.
Sometimes it's not that great idea to do it at night :/ you are tired at night time (unless you are a night owl) or just want to sleep.
