Something weird happened to me not too long ago. I was in school, Social Studies class, in which I never pay attention because the tests are easy and I somehow always have a 98 - 100 average, so I was just sitting there, bored, and began thinking of my friend who was sitting next to me. I began thinking of his deprieved childhood on a ranchette and all of the sudden I was standing in a slightly animated looking ranchette. Has this ever happened to anybody and what happened to make me project myself into his mind?

Woah, and I've gotten control of it so I've dived into 3 minds (including my own, I must say I have a twisted mind inside and out)
So, is Mind Diving a rare skill?

I hate when people waste so much words on describing different applications of the same thing. Basicaly, you've taken either your or the targets thought (More likely a combination of each), and then subconsciously created an illusionary reality in which you took the concepts your mind percieved and used them as the base code for it.
If any psionic ability was used, it was telepathy and empathy, and possibly some psionic perception of the area it came from. My guess is the actual relaity you percieved was just a simulation your sub-conscious, which it based on the concepts you derived from his mind. What I would do, to make sure you're not fooling yourself, is draw out a sketch of the ranchete you percieved when you 'mind dived', and then ask your friend if this was it. Because there's always the chance that telepathy wasn't involved at all, and that your mind just used what it thought would be a ranchete, an simulated it because it was stimulated by your thoughts regarding your friend.
