astral projection skills

I've been reading the astral projection artiles and have found the descriptions of the places and temples and cities to be very fascinating!!!
In the articles about the Warrior's Temple, there is this constant motif of having enough skill to find it or enter certain parts or being able to see certain entities and whatnot.
This question is directly not just to Jedi Karen but to all who have any knowledge of this subject, but what skills are being referred to? And how does one develop these skills?

Well, from my exprience, it's not so much about skills, expect for being able to astral project, but more about if you should be going there or not. A spirit guide, doens't have to be yours, has to recommend you before you can enter. You won't find the temple unless you are allowed to enter.

I wish I had more experience with this. It wasn't a warrior's temple, but I couldn't go there until my spirit guide showed me, but it's something similar, just not a temple.

Oh that's interesting. I'll have to inveestigate this further.
