First of all I have never had an OOBE but then again I have only been trying seriously for about a month and I'm not expecting this to be instant. The method I have come to practice involves conscientiously numbing my whole body and then from there trying to lift out of my body. I have only once and ever so slightly arrived at the vibration stage but I always feel something else. Immediately after my body is numb and my mind is blank I start spinning. When I attempt an OOBE I am sitting up so I guess I could describe the feeling of sitting in the middle of a merry go around or a lazy Susan or something like that. Whatever it is it is a VERY intense feeling but I have never read anything related to it. I should also note the as I feel like I am spinning it feels like am about to just shoot out of my body so to speak but that has never happened (yet) So I was wondering, have any of you ever felt something like this or have any idea this could be, perhaps another version of the vibration stage? Or maybe it as absolutely nothing to do with astral projection and it would be better if I just ignored it? Also...any general tips would be appreciated Thanks -Draiff

Woah, spinning? Holy cow. Sounds crazy! But, personally, I've had things like feeling bigger than usual or I'm wobbly. But yeah, what JK said, keep trying man, you are getting very close!

Spinning, feeling floaty/weightless/ dizzy are all normal feelings, and exactly where you need to be. Just relax and flow with the feeling...soon you'll be off and running...lol Good Job. You are doing great.

nice... i haven't ap'ed neither (yet.) and i have the same feeling.. like I'm spinning, yet knowing I'm in my body.. couple of nights ago when i tryed aping i had the same feeling (again) and after it had lasted for about 5 seconds i felt as though i was taken to a battlefield cause i could hear, and see (?) explosions.. as soon as i was there i felt very cold.. and i opened my eyes.. and i was in my bed.. not tired at all.. but very very cold.. (my window was closed and my room was very hot, and i was under a blanket) yet i know it wasn't a dream because i had the spinning sensation and i hadn't fallen asleep

It's normal. Whenever I'm almost out, I feel like I'm rocking back and forth and I'm spinning. It's different for everyone. But yes, you are close.

Wow this is great news! Unfortunately I haven't given it a go for over a week now because of school, track, speech....etc. I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about. But now that I know I'm on the right track, I am feeling really good about it. Especially because the last time I tried APing...I got to the vibrations and a feeling of floating above my body However, I couldn't open my "astral eyes" (or whatever you call them) Anyone know why that might be?

you were trying to open them through the normal avenue, that is muscles. but your astral body has body has no physical muscles. eveything is done via willpower(movement, sight, ect) you have to focus on opening your eyes. if you need a visual picture then try your eyelids being pulled apart to expose your eyes to the astral plane.

I've experienced that before after an hour's meditation, then once again trying to meditate or even sleep when drunk. I get too scared and back out. It is a very intense feeling, I know. Maybe the most intense I've ever felt.

wow i get a spinning sensation nearly every time i try and obe ive even had it when i sit still and relaxed for awhile i got this last night when i tried an AP and i felt a wobble coming on, so i must have been close actually i also get a feeling like i am doing a forward flip sometimes, and i go between these two sensations for awhile, they are very intense so i have noticed over the many times i have felt it i think we both must be close so keep it up Slavik

Well, when I try and project myself, I often get this feeling in my stomach like I'm sinking or falling a long way. Other times it seems like I'm floating upward and sort of spinning in lazy little circles. This must be similar to your spinning sensation.

Good, good! Now I know I am not crazy The other great thing is that this shows how AP changes from person to person. I haven't made any big leaps yet in my journey, but I'll get there. And it sounds like the rest of you are too! Well done
