The progression of projections?

But, most accounts I've heard say that the more your project the easier it should be to "feel" if you're primed for it. Some say they really only ever happen involuntarily-- randomly, or only because your spirit guides allow you?

What I'm worried about is that I'm not getting better at it because I'm not projecting at all and never did (except maybe that one time)-- that I was just dreaming.

So, please, experienced projectors-- would you say how it gets easier if it does or what factors other than practice can make it more difficult? Much thanks for any consideration

If you are just waiting for it to happen randomly then you wont get better at it, you only get better at it if you practice
