Well consider this bending a spoon would mean you haveing to heat up all the molecules in the neck of the spoon /then/ having to TK the spoon in whatever shape, so allot more difficult then to tell the spoon to move Eh?

no you dont heat up the molecules. the heat is a result of friction during the bending
yeah and you use your hands to bend. your mind "softens" the metal, but you need you hands to actually shape it. unless you have the fork hanging and let gravity bend it, or your really good to TK and able to move the fork.
well, it seems like there are some really good benders here. can one of you write a "how to" on bending?

I have bent nails before using the same technique that is used to bend spoons/forks. I made it into a nice spiral...and then lost it . By the way, don't use your moms cutlery! Please. She will probably kill you. Try buying cutlery at garage sales, or buy a pack of nails (yes I have done it on nails) then bend those. It's nice to have the really thick and long ones.
