the new elements

i belive that the elements we have today (wind water earth and fire) are a little out dated and need to be changed.
first of all gravity should be an element, earth should not
water should not be an element but rather all liquids
fire should broaden into all forms of combustion
and wind should be changed to the element of life

these are what i see as the new elements, what do you think?

I suppose I am a bit of a traditionalist. I think that there are the known older elements, and there are ones related that break off from that element. Like water is a major from of an element and from that comes ice. Gravity should probably be an element. I think the major reasonings for the point that they said water as compared to all liquids is that people wanted to name the elements after natural energies in the world that helped contribute to life. Water being the most basic form of a liquid that is needed for life. Earth being the ground we walk on to symbolize the ground in our life. Fire representing birth and destruction at the same time, and air being that of creativity and freedom of the soul. That's at least what I feel towards it, but I do feel as if the four doesn't cover everything like gravity, spirit, light, dark, and time.

Time is sort of a....human thing. It's a concept. Just like good and evil is concept. So I would never count time as an element. Like 'time' does exist....but it's sort of a human concept. We gave it mintues, seconds, seasons, etc. We named things. It's hard to explain.

I think of water as all liquids. I think of gravity as part of the elemental earth. I think of wind as well...the wind, which is a strong and powerful force by itself and should be excluded for no reason at all.....Spirit covers life in a way. Fire is....well fire, a very important element as well. I prefer the name of fire from combustion. Keep it simple, ni?

But my favorite element of all time is Akasha. Akasha is everything and it's everyone. It's like energy I guess. It's every element. It's everything and nothing at all. Get what I mean? But Akasha is how I begin to look at things. If you break everything down it can have an alignment. I prefer looking at everything and everyone as energy. It doesn't need to be Akasha.

But all this, I think is what you believe feels right to you. Your path isn't the 'right path' for everyone. I choose to look at everything as energy, a wiccan may look at things with an 'alignment', or christians with a certain alignment. Not even a Christian path is the same for everyone. So really ^_^ when it comes down to it, I think it's what you *personaly* feel is completely utterly right for me. I've read this and that. I think about stuff, mull it over. Decided whether I agree or not or accept it into my 'faith.' Get what I mean? I'm not Christian, because it doesn't feel right. I have something similar...but it's not the same.

why do we need to change the elements?

We have more elements then those for anyway. we have the table of elements. If you truely believe those are outdated then check out the table of elements.

Marie Jones. fantastic read btw

Okies, as neo said, we are talking about the elements. Those aren't original ideas at all. People will try to freeze power or stop time. You might be able to do that on the astral, those are current abilities. Freeze people could go under an element, depending upon how you do it. Time really doesn't have an alignment, time just is.

Well my ideas on time is this: There is only no. There is no tomorrow. Since there is always an everlasting now, tomorrow does not every come because it is tomorrow, the future. Because what was the future, becomes the now. Do you get it?
