This is just a random thought, and be honest, has anybody EVER scanned another persons mind during a test to get the right answers? I wouldn't ever do it, but I know somebody has.

I like feeling on my shield from the inside, Then i fell the outside of it (not necessary, But yeah) then i imagine my targets name and imagine me touching their names and actually feeling my hand go through their name so i can get info (oh and when you put your hands out of your shield to touch their names imagine how it would feel, Pratice by putting your hand through water get that type of feeling) and i would ususally see images and stuff.

Truly? It seems like it would be difficult to do, unless your experienced with it, of course...

I also imagine it'd be different for everyone, like a blind person wouldn't scan by looking at someone, for example.

No, it doesn't always work that way. some people have to stop and think about what they are picking up through a scan. Some people have to go through steps.

For others it's easy...For me it's almost instinctual, I cant explain it..I just do it, thats the best way I can describe any of my psychic abilities

I never realized how different vamps are from psionics (besides the obvious differences)...Marshmellow's post stunned me, I can't believe someone from the metaphysical community would think scanning is hard...Now I really do see the difference between us

some people are naturally resistant to any type of psionic "attack" so concentrating on a certain thought would probably help.

Nobody is "naturally resistant" to a psychic attack, that's foolish

Scanning is way to find out as much posible as you can about your targeted person.
It can start by just looking at person: visual apearance.
Then using abilyties to find out what are that person intentions, how strong it is, what it thinks about you, can you trust to this person etc.
-it should be done by answering on questions for details so you could progress to feeling energy flow of that person and visualisation.
-it is more easily to feel person when you already know some basic things; is it a victom of attacks and violence, how does it think- and this all could be answered by simple questions.
-after that the telepathic connection is more stable and you can be more accurate.

I would have to say that that is foolish, to quote your own words. Many people have natural shields, due to not trusting a darn thing in the world. I know as I happen to be one of those with a natural shield, though not anywhere near as strong as some do. The natural shields are often hard to detect, but can do any number of things, including making it impossible to scan/read/locate a person.

I am by no means a vamp. But, all my life I have found it easy to scan people. And do tp and empathy. Some people are just better at different skills.
