That's basically empathy. Becareful though, I used to do a lot of empathy and I realized that I would get their emotions confused with mine and I would have weird mood changes lol. After a while I developed enough skill to shield myself and filter which messages needed my attention and whatnot.

i can read thoughts....bt with my 1 friend it is a lot easier..why is this? is it because we have been friends all our lives?
i can too sense emotions without reading ody language...

yea so to scan just make a telepathic link to someone and almost feel them out or something....would visualizing myself like in a library or museum in their subconcious and looking for what they feel right then work maybe or what would you guys suggest

I hesitantly disagree, I think scanning is it's own skill. It's just the sensing of psi or psi energy. There is remote viewing, empathetic scanning, and telepathic scanning, but I don't really know how those work.

i disagree with you if scanning was just sensing psi(energy) then most of us scan all the time.
