.....ok...hmm.... having the energy to do something doesn't mean that you can still do it. Each psionic skill requires a different method of manipulation. If you cannot directly do psycho-kinesis, then how can your construct?... your construct is only an extension of your will.... you program it... so how can you program it to manifest a will that you cannot?

My point is that making a construct instead of trying to affect things directly might make it possible to compress intentions better and to be at a more relaxed state when excuting the actions. I don't have enough experience in this matter to tell for sure whether that is correct or not though.

Back to the original topic: I have had a little success making shields to deflect physical matter. Not very good though, just good enough that the middle of my head wouldn't get wet in light rain because of all the drops being deflected to the edge of my head. I'm not good at that and I find it exhausting maintaining such a construct.

I was thinking of a film i watched tonight- The Incredibles, in the film the teenage daughter can flare a shield and deflect objects with it, it reminded me of this post and got me thinking of if this was possible, i think it could be with ALOT of practise and energy. Im definately going to be giving it a try.

oh yeh love that movie. i think it is possible and worth atry, but it will take a bit of practise, and make sure you charge your body with psi before so you make sure you hav enough energy.

The daughter wasn't flaring a shield. She was using telekinetic energy to form a shell of some sort. It just seemed that bending light is one of the qualities it had since she herself could bend light to become invisible. So she wasn't flaring the shield. She was bending light so that she could see her telekinetic shell (or so I think.. I don't what the film makers had in mind).

Shielding can be very important, especially if you have difficulty even making one. So unless you plan on becoming a master manipulater or you are a phoenix/generator whith a field so dense that a shield is superfluous... they're vital.
