Ok... so saying this is probably a mistake here.... But I'm fairly popular, I'm not the most popular guy in school... but I get invited to almost all the parties (I rarely attend though), a lot of people know who I'm... I also won a contest (a knowledge test for the whole region... science, math, history, geography, spanish, every topic out there)... So almost everyone knows me for that... I didn't considered me popular until recently... The popular guys and girls started talking with me, and I got invited to Rodrigo's halloween party(this wild party that you only enter with a list... The guy is a radio voiceman and he's with me in some classes), I didn't went to the party because I went out to have dinner with my friends but well... In my school you know you're popular when you get invited to his party.
It isn't as bad as you guys portrait it... It's nice to get along with the popular kids... You get invited to a lot of places... It nice not having them agaisnt you all the time... They share with you when they buy the tests or when they are cheating in something... They are normal people really, once you get to know them...
And please don't kill me for posting this... Just my opinion...

I used to be unpopular, but yeah, I suppose I took the chance to change in high school =)

Well, I wasn't really noticed at my school until I hacked my school's grading system and gave my whole spanish class an A+. Somehow, word got out it was me and people now talk to me (and ask me computer stuff...). My school doesn't really have a "popular" section. We have the jocks, the retards (druggies who think they are cool) and the rest of us. :-P

Not all the popular people are Hypocrites, and also there's non-popular people that are hypocrites, that just happens, and you don't have to be popular and immediately become arrogant and hypocrite and bad person, I'm just saying that we shouldn't make stereotypes, there are persons that are popular for good stuff... Although I agree that stereotypes exist for a reason, but it's not the case, I'm sure Mr. Ex and meep aren't hypocrites, or do stuff to be approved... The people that do stuff to be approved are the ones, that can't do something good to be know about, or the ones that feel like don't deserve it and they humiliate themselves to be accepted... And well... that's just a wrong perception... Or at least that's my point of view I felt really hated when everyone said they wanted the popular guys to die... :S |

I know a few popular people personally and they're alright, but its the ones that are two-faced, snobbish, rude, ignorant, materialistic, ect. that really bug me. You can be "popular" but not follow the traditional attitude and behavior.
