Religion is a scary thing. Some people die for their religions, and cause fights for their religions. Think about some of the extremists (like, 0.0001% of a religion), who say that they will die for Allah/ Jesus/ Mohammed/ Buhdda/ etc. Thats scary.
*this is digressing a lot from about the afterlife topic, but anyway*
I was listening to a talkback radio show, and they were talking about a childrens show that was shown in the Middle East. It is hosted by a terroist organisation, and uses a character which looks like Mickey Mouse. They teach the young children about 'the infidels of the west' etc (can't remember all of the quotes) and things like that. (The show's name is Tomorrows Pioneers, by the way).
Anyway don't you think that's scary, because we (at least in Australia) we learn to appriciate different cultures, and its like the opposite, in the other country (forgot which country, sorry =='')

*DISCLAIMER- I like Middle Eastern people. It's just the 0.00001% of the community which are full- on scary extremists that are really scary in this world. Thats the point that I'm trying to make.*

Or the super-gay-hating-sect. I don't remember the leaders name but he is quite known. Well, he teach the followers that Gays are monsters that eat poo and that they kidnap three year olds to drink their blood. I mean come'an how stupid can a person become.

The church wants you to believe it all happened for real so you keep arguing and fighting about this and that which they have done a great job of doing and even on these forums i see so much of it because people don't realize there are 2 ways of meaning for the bible and ancient "Myths", 1) Exoteric= dead letter form, it happend word for word as it is written, taught to the masses of people so they are in confusion and fight without ever understanding the truth 2) Esoteric=the real meaning, intuitional understanding, read between the lines, the grand concept of a divine "UNIVERSAL" truth, this is what was taught to those who were initiated into the Mysteries "Man shall not live by Bread alone".
