How would doctors get to hospitals? One example among many that rely on people getting places which save lives. There are probably other ways outside of transport.
There is already a solution to replace oil, but it would take years to IMPLEMENT. No way round it.

There a tested way to replace oil in cars, it is called bio-desel. It works and it is natural, it helps the world in two way, less pollution and helps the shortages of oil, but I do believe we are going of topic.

People would just have to suffer through a bit. What, you're going to go on a war and that's any better? Plus, without oil , how are you going to fuel jets and tanks?

All the more reason to go to war while we still have the means, when it ran out the country with oil would be the ONLY country with war machines outside of nukes. They could do whatever the hell they wanted to, including start a war which the only effective retaliation to would be nukes. ..Mind~Crush.., engines need to be modified for that, I've already said it.

Well i know 5% of my country would be able to live on, just due to alternate fuel. 15% would be able to live on, due to low energy consumption and not much travelling being done. and the other 80% would just have to adjust.
What, like that egomaniacal dictator was gonna be an idiot and not outlast the enemy's resources?, or as if his own "stash" was unlimited?

Exactly, your solution was non violence related. Violence is not a needed factor in every disagrement or situation. Think about all the problems the world has because of war.

I think you as a really aggressive person. And quite the stubborn one. I aggree that the most probable consequence of what you said would be war. Still, there could be a peaceful way about it.
Actually, right now, we buy most our oil from the middle east. oh wait. we are at war.
And democracy could have reached a country without a war either. But that would require people being pure. That's just funny to think about xD

I'm stubborn because I know that no matter what you say there will always be a need for violence. If we just sat back and let people do what they want democracy wouldn't exist.
I don't really care what you think of me as.

I don't really care what you think of me as. There, need. The need for violence isn't there. Violence exists cause it's one of the easier ways to get things done. It's not the only way, ever, though. And not the right one ever either. Emotional blackmail is so much more painful.

So what makes that better? The other way is to give in and let people do what they want with you.

It's pointless to proceed with this discussion.
