To me, psionics is definitely not a sin. The only way it could turn into a sin (as with anything in life) is if you make it take the place of God in your life and turn it into an idol .
The only way you could turn it into an idol would be if you let it get to your head and you focus on how much psi abilities you have compared with other people, and you look down at other people who are not skilled.
This isn't just with psi skills, but with ANY talent.
Anything can turn into a sin if you let it, but on the other hand, any skill or talent a person has can also be used as a blessing for others and for the planet and animal Kingdom. It all depends on the intent and motives of a person's heart.

Honestly God would not give you a gift that can help others and have it be a sin.I'm christian and even the bible says that psychic gifts aren't sin.So I don't know where the OP got his facts from.
I'm sure its the same with Islam,Judism etc.

good point, lilmoe15
Some people are born psychic-- it's a God given gift. It's what a person does with his gifts that could be used for good ----or just used to exploit the ego.
I think the OP knows that it's not a sin, but it's an interesting debate topic to see what everyone's perspective is on it ;-)

It's pointless to debate whether or not psionics are sinful. The best way to explain their views are that if a person uses their gift for what they consider an evil act then they have committed a sin, however if the act is believed to be for the greater good then it is a virtuous act. In view or religion I agree that a god would never give a disciple the power to do evil things . However I also believe that a god would give a disciple the ability to have free will. So whether it is sinful or not is dependent on who and how it is looked at.

I am a christian. Through my point of view God gave us these abilities, like they wernt scientifically giving to us through a vaccine or something, like we were born with this skill. If any one has ever read the bible then you would know about like a ton of people in it having powers, and miracles, like walking on water, and stuff. like if god gave such abilities to his son jesus then obviously he couldve given them to everyone else. I actually have done alot more research then this to safely say that psionics is not a sin, Witchcraft and wikka are though, but im not getting into all of that today.

Why is witchcraft a sin? And Wicca is a religion. You probably don't know the first thing about it either, if you're claiming that practicing it is a sin. Okay, technically worshipping any god other than YHWH is considered a sin under Abrahamic dogma, but whatever. ^_^

I think it is safe to say that no one on this site believes that psionics is a sin, and if you do and are still practicing it then I do not want anything to do with you.

Wow... Alot of you are missing apollo's point. He is not saying that he believes psionics is a sin since he practises it himself. He's just saying I want you all to defend why psionics isn't a sin.

I do not believe its a "Sin" Since the word Sin is a human-defined word, and I define my own vocabalry
Also, Sin or No Sin, I'd still practice psionics and other MetaPhysics.

I look at psi the same way I look at anything else. It's neutral, neither good nor bad. Guns, hammers, knives. These things are neutral. The gun itself doesn't kill anyone. It's the intent behind the gun. You can either use a gun to defend yourself, your home, find food, or you can use it for cold blooded murder. A hammer can be used to build a home, or it can be used to kill or hurt someone. A knife can be used to prepare food or to kill someone. Same with psi. It's the intent behind using psi that can be a sin, not the psi itself.

poesraven, I think you explained it perfectly!
It's the intent.
Some people use psi skills to hurt others, - some use them to eploit thier egos and they never get beyond that level.
Others learn that their skills can actually enhance and help a messed up World and hurting planet.
