PS: For those who don't know, I have a thread like this in Psi-Links forums that I am arguing that it IS a sin. This thread will not actually represent my beliefs, but yall must learn to argue better.

If you are given the ability to use such an ability then why is it considered a sin, and not a gift....what if your god wished you to have power, yet you deny your power cause you believe it is evil....which in turn would mean...you think your god is evil...which is in turn a sin itself...

Anyway. I have done lots of research and No, Psionics is not a sin.

People think what we are doing is "evil", "against god's will", "fake", they take those and teach their children that things we do are wrong/impossible. When you have something implanted in you from that young of an age, you believe it and it takes years and years to get an idea like that out of their head. Most people wont think twice about it, they think its magic tricks. Soon, generations of children wont have places like veritas to seek help, it will just get weaker and less noticed untill it disappears.

Reasons, right or wrong, are opinions. Good and evil can be applied to everything in life, now what just so happens to be good to you, maybe evil to another.

What it all comes down to, whether or not your religious or not, is what you use your ability's for. If you use psi blasting to hurt people, then yea, thats a sin. (i am religious.... but i am weak in my relation with god right now) But if you use it to say, "hey, that person is hearting inside.... may be i should talk to them" then its not.

These are, i guess, extreme cases about good and bad. Still the line between is very thin. Yea you see that they need help, but was it right to break threw and view them? To look at a personal aspect of them with out there consent. The line is.... not so much a line as a gradient that changes over slowly in some areas and "sharper" in others.

Just be weary of what you are about to do. Put your self in there shoes, how would you feel?

I'm a Christian, and I'm very religeous. I do this, and in my way of seeing, it isn't a sin. Sin is something that is wrong to do against God, and I don't think this is. Alchemy, yes, is a sin, because it is altering one of God's Creations. Manipulating is a different thing. Psi is something that everyone has anyway, it's not like we can just take it out and live without it. It is a gift, like empathy. But, let's not get religeous. I don't think that's allowed. I do not consider it a sin.

If this was a sin, i wouldn't be here, would have learned what i know today, and would probably doing something bad.

If you believed what you where eating was evil, then it would be evil to eat it.

I kinda see psionics as a good thing. I mean, we all come together to hone our skills to get better at something that's cool. If not, we could be out doing alot more things, like drugs, drinking, or anything else. I think that if Psionics didn't exist, half the people i know would be in so much trouble they wouldn't have enough jails to put them in.
